Been away from home all day so no chance to play with it yet.

Anyone have any Microcenter 3770k screenies yet?

Curious if mpower1001's Costa Rica chip is any different from the Malay ones.

Guys, is MicroCenter out of stock already? Their website says ships in 1-3 days .... so no stock? Edit: saw previous post about some branches still having stock)

NewEgg just changed status to SOLD OUT.

Do we have a dedicated results thread up yet?

Just to clarify how to read batch code
    For instance, L206B425

    L - 1st letter or digit is a plant code (L = Malaysia)
    2 - 2nd digit is a year of production (2012)
    06 - 3rd and 4th digits is a week (6th week )
    B425 - 5th till 8th digits is a lot number

Sometimes some chips clock better depending on the week and lot number
    ...

i5 2500k vs. i5 3450 Which beats which? I'm guessing power usage not huge difference and 2500k OCed will beat the locked 3450? What do you guys think?
I ask because I have an unopened 2500k I picked up for $160

I'll pick that up from ya for my new build. Just give me a bit of time to save up the money.

I haven't tried either chip yet, so IDK from firsthand experience, but from my reading, in terms of raw performance, a decently overclocked 2500K will beat out a non-OC'd 3450. However, some features will be disabled without an Ivy chip, such as PCI-E 3.0, USB 3.0, and some other Ivy-specific additions.

Are you saying a 2500k on a z77 or something won't be able to use pci-3.0 or usb 3.0? Is that right?

I know the PCIE3.0 is a for sure no-go on Sandy. Not completely sure about USB. I think some boards will support it with a separate controller.

Thats surprising since some z68s have pci 3.0. Neither one is a real deal breaker for me at the moment. Can a Nvidia GTX 680 max out pci-2 bandwidth? If not then I'm definitely all right.
