The Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 uses the same CPU power setup as the 8 series boards, which is designed for PHII. With Bulldozer, it will throttle half the cores very early in the OC, and if you disable it (like I did) it blows up (like mine did). I was barely OCed at all, and did the trick to disable OCP, and bam. Couple minutes in to prime95 and my vregs and NB were north of 80C, killed the board and CPU. It OCs fine if you dont mind half the cores being crippled under high stress though.
The UD5/UD7 has a stronger power delivery setup and is built more for BD though, and either of them would be fine. UD3 is great for PHIIs though.
