Does the Pro have all the same memory options / profiles etc as the Deluxe? I need a PCI slot...
Profiles are on the ROG boards only. The Pro/Deluxe and standard boards get the rest of the options in UEFI, though.

@Raja@ASUS,
I had a lot of options to choose from to my next system.
Your up close and personal support (including releasing bios's w-a-y ahead of the official site) made me choose the Maximus V Gene. Just purchased one from the egg - because of you
What is the max current on CHA_FANx connectors and CPU_OPT on P8Z77-V Deluxe board. Manual only says that CPU_FAN is 1A (12W) max, no word on other connectors
after installing the new bios i saw no improvement, still unable to go past x35.
Then i noticed under lynx then my Gflop number was significantly incrising when i was theoricaly overclocked...
it seems i still can OC, but it's never updated nor on boot, under cpuz or in windows...
if anyone can help ? it's really weird...
@Raj : have you seen that behaviour ?
edit : my latests tests shows this :
i wouldn't have that kind of gflops nor temps @ 3,6.... it's really frustrating :'(
You wouldn't have them temps at 1.57Vcore ?
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree
Edit
A bug with 0880 pls set DRAM Data VREF manually @ 0.50 or 0.495 since sometimes it is wrong with this bios
true, but the auto setting wouldn't up vcore so much if it was only on x35 multi, (i was on auto offset mode x49), wich is why it got so high.
on default i get around 75/78Gflops with same setting under linX.
thats weird because part of the bios aknowledge that i'm on 49 multi, and the other part does not, it's really like on the turbo evo screen on the left it's x49, on the right it's x35
i really don't get it...

could be, but i doubt it, right now i'm @ theorical x49 with 1.41v and 103 bclk, i'm still locked in cpuz at x35 whatever i do (stress test, or normal usage) it's just like if the system couldn't show more then bclk x35.
it's just like on the turboV app, on one side it's 5047 Mhz, on the other it's 3605...
what kind of tests should i do ? i get around 99Gflops under linx does it mean anything ?
P8Z77 -V- Deluxe bios 1009 (beta?)

RAJA or anyone for that matter.
I have the P8Z77 - V PRO. Actually this is my second board...
I am having an issue on cold boots. The PC Tries to POST, and the CPU_LED will stay solid for 5 second or so, then it shuts off and restarts. After it restarts it will hang on windows loading if I dont turn it off. I can't really replicate it by power draining the system, sometimes I can, and sometimes it's just a cold boot.
I actually have the CPU voltage at 1.35
2500K
Muskin 8GB Kit 1600MHz CAS 8
Patriot Wildfire 120GB SSD (I called patriot and updated the Firmware to 5.0.2)
Corsair TX750
Corsair H70
ATI HD5870
I have only really upped the turbo multi and added some voltage to the CPU. All other settings other than RAM speed and timings are auto.
It is 100% stable 12hr Prime95. Speed step is enabled.
I have the release bios, I had the same issue on the other board with the newer BIOS.
On the other board I had I went into the DIGI + Power Control and fricked with those settings (like CPU loadline calibration and upped that and so on) I've left everything auto for these settings though.
I have speed step on but most other processor settings off if I recall. What am I missing? Could it be the Overclock is frikin up? or the SSD causing POST issues with the new chipset?

i've been running lots of benches and i'm not really trustfull with my results.
i think i'll have to remove the battery. i don't see anything else to do right now.
have to remove the thermal armor though...and not very happy to have to do so...there's no other way to achieve the same goal ?
if not a little "hatch" to access the battery would have been nice ... or will be in further versions

Reduce the overclock and see if it still manifests. If not, then increase Vcore and also enable PLL OV (Auto should be enable at 45X, but just in case it is not). Let me know about the maximum frequency at which this does not happen. Keep a note of how much Vcore you have tried also.

Had a somewhat similar situation , but I didn't do a fresh install. Moved from a C2D system to this new quadcore.
Overclocking didn't work(stayed at 35) and cpu-z was even showing 2core/4threads. I did the following:
"1) Uncheck in MSConfig > Boot tab > Advanced Options > "Number of Processors" and exit MSConfig" (mine was set to 4 cores)
Rebooted and setup the bios somewhat how Raja suggested and it's now running at 45x multiplier and both cpu-z and task manager show me the proper amount of cores/threads.
Running same mainboard with the beta bios Raja posted.
I eagerly await M5G release, I cant wait.

it seems to work now !
i tried what you suggested without reinstalling windows (it was a fresh install for Z77+2700k) and it did not work
so here's what i did next :
- flashed to bios 801
- turbo @40 and vcore @
- reinstalled windows
- reinstalled asus drivers
- flashed to bios 906
- put turbo at 40 and vcore at 1,35, removed speedstep and voila !
i did a little test @x45 just to confirm, it's ok now.
i guess it was a bad bios / corrupted OS combo
thx a lot raj !
