Depends where the issue lies and IF HQ still have such old GPUs. Can't promise anything on this one.

PS. might be worth listing GPU make and model together with VBIOS version.

    Can't answer that sorry - I don't know.

All i can do is forward your card model and VBIOS version, rest is up to HQ.

You can contact your local ASUS Support also if you wish.

So do you have the VBIOS version and full make and model of the GPU? Can't do much for you without those.

Reported to HQ. No promises. Like I said, HQ need to have a card available AND be able to replicate the problem. If it gets patched it gets patched, if not, nothing more I can do.

Nop still waiting on this too, been almost a month and no bios yet. Big failiure by Asus. Iam currently writing a good representative email about this to all the reviewers out there so maybe it gets some media attencion that Asus Premium MB?s do not get any support from them.

It has been patched internally. Qual process can take time if they had other things to add in as well. Nothing I can do about that. I just know it's patched internally and will be released when the full builds are ready.

    Memory problem

    P8z77-v pro/thunderbolt....

I have 16gb Samsung memory installed. Everything ran as expected for several months. Recently, only 8mb was detected. Switching the modules to different slots made no difference. Either pair worked, but when all are populated, only half is found. Ran memory test, etc. nothing turned up. (also removed oc).
Fatal mistake! Decided to check the cpu socket for bent pins. Was too lazy to take out the Mobo and when
the cpu lever was opened, the cpu slid across the contacts and bent many pins. Dumb ass!

Got new mobo (same). The new board only detects 8gb! It also has a timing problem. The timing is set
to spd numbers and remains there no matter what is changed. Vdimm also is fixed at 1.337v and does not
change. Dumping cmos fixed the settings for one boot and then it reverts to spd.

Moving the memory modules as before is the same either pair works in black or blue slots as before.

Bios 1805 is now installed and the prior version was also tried. CPU is i7-3770k, windows 8 pro.

    Any hope?

It may be a bad memory controller on your CPU. It went bad. I'd bet if you try a different CPU, your full 16GB will be detected. Buy a cheapy Celeron G530 just for this purpose.

I don't want to think about a bad cpu! However, I ran the Intel processor diagnostic and the memory controller
passed. It detected 8gb memory. I guess that means something is wrong between the cpu and the memory.
The motherboard memory tool detects the full 16gb as does the CPUZ utility.
My research shows that the usual defect is the cpu socket pins. This time I was real careful with the install and
dropped the cpu straight down, etc.

Success! Everything running properly. All memory detected and timing is adjustable.

Created the problem myself. When I installed the new board, I switched bios chips to
be sure my raid setup stayed put. However, it appears that the original failure was the
bios chip in the first motherboard, and I just transferred it to the new one.

    Live and learn!

It has to be the CPU. Sorry for the bad news...two different boards and same result it's an indication of a bad memory controller. Just get a G530 to test it out.

Hey guys. I have an issue I can't seem to fix.

    I have a p8z77-v Pro. I'm running Bios 1805. I have a GTX 570 SLI set up, but I can't get SLI to work. Windows 7 won't see the 2nd card.

In the bios under advanced \ system agent configuration \ NB PCIe Configuration I have the following options:

PCIEX16_1 (set to Gen 2, shows 8x due to 2 cards being installed)

PCIEX16_2 (set to Gen 2, this is the problem slot)

Slot 2 (white) will either say "not present,"or it will x0. Windows doesn't see the card.

I have tested both cards in slot 1 & they both work. They worked correctly in SLI on a Maximus IV Extreme (p67). I've cleared the CMOS, re-flashed 1805. I haven't tried flashing bios 1908 yet.

I didn't see any bent pins in the CPU socket.

Could it just be the bios or could it be the board? Any ideas? I'm stumped.

Try 1908. If it's not that it might be some weird ME fw corruption.

    I'll try it.

If the ME firmware is corrupted, is that fixable? I've never heard of that issue.

Any chance on a BIOS for Maximus V series that will allow booting double-sided Hynix MFR-based sticks at Cas 12?
