    G.Skill TridentX F3-2666C11D-8GTXD DDR3-2666 Preview

I got these a week ago and was barred from showing them. They're darn beautiful sticks and it was very hard to resist, but now G.Skill has given their blessing to share their new TridentX memory!

As usual, their high-end memory doesn't come in a flashy box. If you see a plain cardboard box from G.Skill, it means good things are enclosed (along with a fan).

The important part on these nondescript boxes is the sticker!

Now a couple photos of their new memory and we'll be done. Results will have to wait until after Ivy Bridge launches (no, I can't say when that is), with the full review to come a short while after the Ivy launch.

That's it for now. Can't wait to get into these sticks and see how far they go!
[XC] gomeler - Public note: If you PM me to tell me that I am disrespectful at least have space in your PM box so I can tell you I don't care.

[XC] gomeler - I come to the news section to ban people, not read complaints.

    I heart gomeler!

Are you going to rip off the spreader after your review and let us have a look at the ICs.
In memory of Gracie, my sweet, sweet wife and mother of my children. Darling, we will miss you dearly. May you rest in peace (born to this world on March 30, 1976; went to her Heavenly Father on Good Friday, April 22, 2011).

The two-stick kits are only $200, rather than the $400 four stick kit you've linked. Unfortunately the former is OOS.

Unfortunately not. G.Skill still considers them confidential and doesn't want reviewers to show the ICs. Barring very compelling reasons (i.e. if there is something one is hiding that consumers need to know) I generally honor manufacturers' wishes. You know, like NDAs, even when everybody else and their brother apparently disregards them. :p

I don't know about European availability, but they are already listed at Newegg. The two stick kit is out of stock but the four stick kit is in stock and selling right now.

I'm a consumer and I do NEED to know.

All kidding aside, and I know that this has already been posted, but those sure are good looking modules, that or you have superior photography skills.

$400 seems a bit extreme in terms of what you're actually getting.

I like G.Skill but spending 50 bucks on Samsung 30nm green that can do 2400mhz+ sounds like a much better option if I had an IVY and was in the market.

Can't until the NDA lifts on that other thing. Even then I might not be able to get them as far as they can go. The Maximus IV Extreme-z is moody at such high frequencies and the Maximus V Gene hasn't arrived yet (though I've been assured it's on its way).
