CodeOfficer has been a good friend of mine for years now and was always a Mac guy. With him in mind when I decided to start producing truly unique custom cases that would appeal to a range of high-end users from the do it yourself like me and mostly likely you the xtremesystems members, to the guy who wants a unique high performance system made for them. The cases is made of white acrylic and we all know that Mac users are attracted to shiny white plastic like flies to.... Anyways here are some of the pictures. More to come soon.


Lets start with the water cooling goodies


The radiators, pump, and CPU block were all painted to match the case

I'm not a huge fan of macs myself but that cinema display sure is pretty and worthy of this system

This system was purchased to play Guild Wars II so the back panel was engraved with the Guild Wars logo and hand painted by my artist gf

Usually white isn't my favorite either but when this came together it really changed my view of white as a primary color for modding.

I will be doing one in black very soon so be on the look out for that one. As I see in your profile pic you like black and blue like me. So the next one will be more our style

can you share more about how the case itself is held together and the different features?
im always looking for new ways to create my acrylic cases (although i do not have CNC which would be out of my price range)

Sorry Manicdan but I can not give away too many of my secrets of how my cases are made but I can tell you about the features.

The cases have side panels that are held on by rare earth magnets when not being transported. When transported I recommend the magnets be supplemented by the screws so they don't get bumped and popped off.

The main body of the case is thermo-formed and chemically welded to hold everything together. There are not a whole bunch of screws holding it together.

The power supply on my latest revision can slide out the back allowing for easier cable management.

The hard drive holder is also removable for easier installation of drives.

Everything about the case can be customized to your specifications. I designed and built my own cnc machine to make these.

i saw the side panel and thought you use magnets
i did that for a build back in the day and it was really cool (although i use magnets for kitchen cabinets from a local hardware store)
where did you get yours from?

as far as making it all a solid piece, do you know of a good method that works well with clear acrylic?
otherwise i might switch to black for a few panels that i would chemically weld and clear for a few others that i would stick with bolts and beams.

I got my magnets off ebay from a US seller

The main thing with chemically welding is the pieces have to be a tight fit without forcing. Must be withing about 1-3 thousandths accuracy to get a good bond. I do a lot of hand sanding/flattening after the piece comes off the cnc machine. Also your material must be extremely clean.

With clear acrylic you must be very careful with the solvent if it gets on stuff you don't want it you will always see the spots. Tap plastics made some decent videos on the subject on youtube.

About 5K in hardware. Then about 1000hrs of work design, fabrication, and adjustments.

Yea them are expensive
