eyegoo! nice namegt. I just bought the xe3 today. is the xe4 worth the extra $? I only see it has some more sata ports and better quality audio chip and a heatpipe. Any other major differences between xe3 and xe4?
    thanks for the xe3 mod Pt1t .
Im excited to play with this thing.

crap this XE3 mod is scary for me as I am a total noob with the soldering iron. is there anyway I can go around to the mobo hole to the back of the board instead of drilling through the pcb? I took the south bridge sink off to reveal what the blue wire is going into. I still dont get it. what is the red wire going into? can you give me some help here? Im new to all this. I miss the clarksdale mod when we would just draw a conductive pen line. I havent overclocked in 2 years and I just want to get this right the 1st time.

i think it is much easier to solder to that pad rather than solder to the little pin.

sin help my noob arse out. What do you mean by pad. see image and please tell me what you mean by pad. I havent overclocked in 2 years. the last 3 hours have been spent getting all my overclocking crap organized. we need a thread called "how to organize your overclocking crap"

I have some solder flux and a regular pin point solder tip. can you point me to a link that has a solder tip that would be better for this? what do you guys use for mods like this? Ive always wanted to learn how to mod properly but the xtrememods page is dated and I think its time for a thread like this. If you show me how to do this I will gladly make a mod step by step biostar cold mod.

Guys, I love biostar but I think I dont have the skills to mod this board without damaging it. I'm gonna send it back to newegg and exchange for something like Max V gene or something. I jsut cant afford to screw this up. If you guys have any suggestions let me know. I want to keep it around $150. The main goal for me is a board that can handle cold well with doing minimal mods. the th55xe clarksdale board was amazing and all it needed was that conductive pen mod on the cpu. I miss those times.
