i truly, dearly, and whole heartily miss my Mark II.
i hated selling it but i needed the money more than one of the most awesome prosumer cameras on the planet.

no matter what you see, hear or read, never sell the girl until the world can prove that there is something better.
to this day i would GLADLY take a 5D Mark I, yes the 5D Classic over just about any camera i have tried, so you know the Mark II had atleast another 10 yrs of life left in it.

the truth is, i know guys who can make some beautiful music with old girls like the Canon XT let alone a full frame monster such as the Mark II
Look at Weevil, he was ready to upgrade his old XT or XTi until he started shooting raw a year ago and he was in heaven.

if you dont do it much, switch to RAW+JPEG and use your RAW's as your main post processing file, the Mark II has SOOOO much in it, its insane.
especially when enlarging the raw file with Photoshop, you can get some insane,., INSANE image sizes out of your raw file, process it, then reduce it to create images that look like they came from a hasselblad or Mamiya 40mp 4/3 pro unit.

How cow. I must say, I'm jealous!!! I went the route of investing in lenses for my t2i. Sometimes I kick myself for not jumping on an used Mark II, instead of the L glass. Someday I hope to get a Mark II, let alone a Mark III. Is the Mark III really worth that much more money? I'm at least another year out from purchasing. Congratulations again to Silver and hey it came with a pretty nice kit lens!!!
