    Newegg on Ebay

Has anyone bought a C2 from Newegg's ebay store?

Any body know if Newegg's ebay store is a dumping ground for less desirable items? I'm just thinking this might be the place where they get rid of say, a returned, unopened 3930k which could be a little older as a result.

I would rather a newer version (C2) just cause, procs usually tend get better as production proggresses - and I have ebay bucks.

i dont know about their cpu's on ebay but when I was looking for a raid controller they were selling it on ebay for the same price as on newegg.com. It look like it was being shipped from another location then it would have from ordering from the newegg.com.

    Thanks.

Newegg undoubtedly has warehouses around the country they ship from. I don't know why but all of the big stores have multiple warehouses they ship from.

On an aside; man I really my miss '68 fastback! '67 &'68 Mustang best looking body style ever. That little 289, just bit of a cam, little headwork (intake, 4 barrel, headers) - quick, stoplight terror!

Yeah I know newegg has alot of warehouse. I was just going off my experience with newegg as most of my products ship from the local warehouse in my state where as the ebay store looked to be shipping from another location.

As for the Mustang, yeah that was my every first car from back in high school. I think the 67-68 are the best body style also. Mine came stock with a 302 and has had work done. Est to put out about 325hp 340tq at the motor.

Looks like the same batch of CPU's to me basserdan. Personally, I'd save the ebay bucks for something else and just get the proc from Newegg themselves because it comes with a $20 promo gift card until March 31.

Is there something that's changed or particularly identifiable about the packaging that was changed with C2's? Otherwise, they all seem to have the same package and list the same initial part numbers etc. that Intel also lists between both steppings.

I've also searched a little and found that there was a near nation wide, supply outtage between mid-December and mid-Feb that corresponds to the switch to C2. I think I'm pretty safe at any large supplier especially Newegg.

Someone will be racing ("the shipper has been electronically notified of your shipment") one to my doorstep by today!

Was hoping to find out the same thing as you...

Desperate to get HW at US prices... And selection is better from time to time.

Nothing specific, more of a gut feeling based on the fact that they list all CPU's as "more than 10" on Ebay. If it was something they wanted to get rid of, the quantity's would likely be lower than that and varied IMO.

    That's reasonable

I'll let you know - ordered from Amazon $599 + $17 next day shipping (in US). Went with Amazon because they're like Wal Mart - you can return anything.

As customer oriented as Newegg is I would highly doubt that they would simply abandon the practice that made them #1 in the first place. Selling on ebay is probably just another venue that allows them to get into new markets and receive more exposure. Thus increasing sales.

Companies have warehouses in many locales, strategically located, around the country to minimize shipping costs.
Boy that info was old. As am I. Currently my kids have taken over my desktops. They are both sporting matching GTX1080's. Last Christmas I got everyone Oculuses and thus GTX1080's. My eldest is some sort of CSGO champion gold label something or other. Me I work and shoot real guns. Build Comps as needed.
