    WCG servers having issues today?

Got home from work and my PC had a crapload of units not sent in, stalled in the report queue. After trying it a couple times it sent them, but then had a list of requested units stuck in the download queue. They have slowly come in but it times out several times per file before it finally downloads it

No trouble here, might be a connection issue somewhere between you and them.

Might just be one of those weird transient things ... or someone at your ISP is downloading pr0n ... ALL of it.

Hm. Still having a hard time getting work. I have 12 files stuck that won't download. A couple uploads timed out but finally went through.

I wasn't getting any downloads either. It kept saying internet was ok but servers may be down. I switched to a newer client and that cleared up things.

Hm, well, I do have an ancient version of BOINC (6.6.31). Is the latest a safe version? I know some where borked. Do I just shut down BOINC, install the latest on top of my current one, and start it back up?

Yeah, all this time and I've never done an in-place BOINC upgrade

6.10.58 from the WCG site or 6.12.38 from Berkley. At least you're not using v5.x.x or something!

Updated BOINC and everything downloaded like nothing was ever wrong.

    Weird.

I ran into the same thing on 4 rigs. They were running an old Boinc version since they are also my folding rigs. Updated to 6.12.34 and they all took off.

Yup, still crunching away at it here. Hope ya'll are doing well.
