What's with this forum style? [feedback]

I mean this horrible forum style, for more than a year now (?) where thread title/subject drowns in the pool of secondary information.
No-one else having trouble with it? All characters large except the actual thread titles (which is the wrong way around)?

Browsing through the xtremesystems fora, what pops out everywhere is Started by whom, when, how many replies, how many views. But i think most people browse fora on the subject lines, not on who started the thread or replied the last time...
Thread title/subject should be most pronounced.

P.S.: about the image url: for some reason this forum's "insert image" function kept refusing my picture, giving an "invalid url" message, but i inserted the same url by hand in the post; and you see it is valid enough.

I can't believe it, two replies and i did not even notice at first. Why? Because the thread is displayed in Threaded View, ALTOUGH i have set it in my Profile > Preferences to the oldfashioned "Linear (oldest first)" view. Why don't i get that view according to my preference then???

I didn't even know threaded view existed, mine has always been in linear.

Did you try setting it to threaded, saving, then going back and setting back to linear? Wouldn't be the first time I've seen a weird glitch in software like that.

Ahh! Just found it: in the upper right corner (on top of the thread border) the dropdown button "Display" --> "Switch to threaded view"!

Well, that means you are just doing it wrong.

Always uncheck "Retrieve remote file and reference locally", which grabs the image and makes it a forum attachment, in which case we have strict file size limits. If the image is too large (xxx kb) you get that error with the option checked. It's useful for images that get blocked from hotlinking, otherwise useless and uses more forum server bandwidth.

I would prefer to get a "image size too large" message, instead of a generic "invalid url" (which is a lie) message. Is that too much to ask?

Ask vB or the makers of the plugin. I suspect that isn't something that Fugger has control over
