This is my first WaterCooling MOD. I wanted to do something special, something that was at least the height of my hardwares. There are several reasons, such as squeezing more power with my current hardware Benchs, Games and of course, improve temperatures. So we started with this exciting adventure!

Good Afternoon!

Today, as I have the day off, as it stands, I happened to buy the thermal paste Prolimatech PK-1.The is that only they had one, but well, I added 2 more units to my order!



Then I went to a stationery to get a 2 units of foam board (50x70) to make a model of what would become the cover for the bays 5.25, where the reservoir would go screw.
Whenever I get the measurements and the desired shape, the model would happen to a sheet of aluminum for later, paint it black.



Get Started!!
I begin to take action, height and width of 5.25 units compartment! Then we turn to foam board measures.







We have to cut with the cutter, for that I caught my rubber mat cloth to avoid scratching the glass on the table.
Once cut, check to see if the measurements are correct.







Well, it seems I was right with the action! xD
Continue cutting, but this time, without excessive pressure with the cutter, since we don't want to separate the sides. We come back to check.









Regarding the wiring of the optical drives, would pass through these 2 holes. We can terminate the model. So would remain the aluminum cover and the respective reservoir nut.









Tomorrow may come the CORSAIR AX1200, I passed to remove the bays for hard disks.
They're screwed from the side and below the tower.









I also changed the stock fan on the motherboard tray for a Corsair, because at least he has the black cord that matches with the case.

Well, we are progressing slowly, but moving forward! xD
Here the aluminum plate just picked at the Bauhaus. I preferred to be an iron grille finish, later I will serve the holes to screw.xD





We take the model of foam board, take action and we have to cut it. With these scissors to cut straight, especially for aluminum, the edges are great.





We take a tape bodywork and wrap the edges to avoid scratching the case, and we check in case the measure if it is correct.







We return to guide us with the model, to take measurements of the edges and output cables. As did not have a permanent marker, I'm back to catch the bodywork tape to mark the width of the border.









A week ago, I thought that this moment would be a dilemma. Honestly I thought about going to an aluminum panel beater, but of course that would not let you a good taste when you do it yourself.
So ............... without any tools, only with the edge of the table! Slowly and supporting my weight with my arms, I have been marking the edges. We check if it fits ............. and LOL!







Mark the holes. I decided to cut half of the 2 edges and leave only a top and a bottom that is where I would go screwed, so do not bother to make sure no optical drive or the rehobus when placed below.









Here is the final result! Have if tomorrow I get to the attic of the community to paint it black. I am pleased to have done good work! xD
