Abandoned Places and Things...

Hey folks I have recently started exploring and shooting abandoned places and things we as humans have discarded and or forgotten about.

Some people call it Urban Exploration, I just call it getting out and shooting.

The whole idea of this thread is to post pics of anything we have abandoned. Homes, businesses, automobiles ghost towns and such. Post as many pics as you want the more the better. If you can include any info or historical data regarding your subject matter would be great.

I came across this place a week ago it is located in Mississauga, Ontario. Canada.
This land was settled and cleared circa 1850's as farmland. There are 2 houses on the property one a bungallow built in the 1960's or 70's and the original home built Circa 1870. At some point in life the property stopped being farmed and was then used as a sort of junkyard for farm equipment and automobiles. There are also a couple barns and a number of out buildings.

I'm certainly not a fan of your post-processing but I like the idea of shooting abandoned places and things a lot.

Agreed. Your PP takes the emotion out and replaces it with modern art. I do like the subject though

That is cool guys as my processing was done in about 20 seconds for each shot! Just wanted to see if there is any interest in this subject matter! Post some pics folks!

I hear ya on that and a valid opinion! I have been shooting for about 2.5 years. I went through the "wow look at what HDR can do faze as most do. It is rare that I will do an HDR shot now and if done it certainly is not over cooked like most the one's I posted previously were.

Do you shoot things like this? I just thought this subject matter would have caught on here because of the diverse membership.

I used to, but I was on film and not only did it become too expensive but finding a place that actually stocks film became impossible. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get a DSLR yet. For now I'll just keep my eye on this thread
