AMD Phenom X4 Cinebench Challenge !

Hi, i want to create a little competition for our old legendary CPUs, challenge starting now, and ending on 20.03.2012 at 03.AM, For participation with other users you must just put screenshot from cinebench result and cpuz window with frequency.

Why? To make some competition, its boring watching just benching on SB and FX
Where? at home, your job is just to OC Cpu and runing bench in cinebench
Why only 3 days? Because thats short benchmarks, and 3 days are too much

I sold my Phenom II 965 (0945 old CPU) C3 in January of 2011, it barely did benchmarks at 4-4.1GHz

I have an 1100T and 565BE but that doesn't count, right?

I doubt many people want to swap CPUs for this when you only give it 3 days

zvonexp: There was actually a thread with this challenge some time back (started by Flank3r), but it seems to have been lost in the latest Forum updates.

Things have been slow in the AMD forums lately, so I understand you trying to stimulate the convesation, but it's a "been there done that" kinda thing...

This is an OC'ers site, so there may not be too many folks still using PHII, but for wht it's worth here are a ccouple SS's for you to try and beat...

8120 FX (probably unbeatable with PHII ):


Going WAY back... Hers a SS of what I had with a PHII 965. You might be able to beat this, but the chip is gone so I can't challenge you on this one.

I just ran Cinebench for the first time ever.

This is on my pos 955 C2 at everyday settings, it wouldn't do more than 3.8 anyway if i recall correctly.

Though, I don't understand the point in a competition that is less than 3 days long on CPU's only a handful of people are running. Give it a week or something for people to prepare IMO and it would be a lot more reasonable.

I'd restrict my X6 to 4 cores too, to compete I guess but it doesn't look like the OP wants that. Phenom / Phenom II are also so different that it doesn't make sense to allow only the quad core part of each series either.
