    Wassup Bud!

I can't tell too much difference either, seems about the same (I don't use C1E though)...
It's especially hard for me to tell since I bought another 8120 on Saturday and I've been testing it out.
What can I say, I was bored and it was only $179.

I'll post some info on the new one over in Beep's thread once I get it dialed in a little better...

i thought about it, But might wait a little while longer to buy again. The XfX 7950 will hold me over for a while.
I set all the systems in the house to energy saving modes to help with Cost. Electric bill has been high. I also have a kila-watt plugged in before my main Rig. I have less then stock voltage and running 3.8 base, 4.3 turbo. It isn't to bad on idle and load isn't that bad either.

Yep, looks like they pulled it....

Personally, I didn't see any real improvement anyway.
I already switched back to 1102.

I am still using it, trying some under volting, one step at a time. Right now I am running my 8120 at 8150 settings (3.6-4.2) and 1.25v. Running on stock cooler at the moment.

For Phenom II, my favorite BIOS is 0051. I haven't had any issue with it, and both CPU and RAM overclock nicely...

All of these new ones are completely awful with Phenom II.

Agreed, 1301 is running well. Don't think I'll be going back to 1102 any time soon...

When your first starting with a new chip I'd use "offset mode" for voltages (CPU & IMC (CPU/NB)) and only give them one bump up until you need to add more for higher clocks.
The reason I suggest this is because the vids on FX chips are all over the place. Offset Mode will use the vid set by AMD for that chip and allow you to add voltage slowly.
Some folks prefer "Manual Mode", and thats fine, in fact once I figure out what the chip likes I shift to that mode too (although I really don't think its necessary)...
Unless your really skilled with AMD-FX OC'ing, using "Manual Mode" from the start can actually cause problems due to over-volting/heat problems.

Ignore the voltages in these screen shots (your chip will probably be different) but the other setting should give you a good starting point.
NOTE: Turning CPU Current up to 130% may help when you get close to the edge (these are old SS's).

Turn all the power saving stuff off until you find out what the chip likes!
After that the options are up to you, I usually turn CnQ back on once I get things settled just to save power...

If your looking for stable clocks I suggest you use Prime95 blend. It's by far the hardest thing to get stable...
If you can't get it to run for at least 30 minutes (the longer the better) you run the risk of your system failing when you need it!

One last thing. When your running Blend, keep an eye on your CPU temps!
Blend pushes things really hard and temps will shoot up quickly. If you can keep them under 70c (+/- 5c (chip dependant)) while running blend you should be OK.
I haven't seen anything else push temps as high as Prime does.
Even Video encoding results in temps ~10c lower than prime (I don't run anything more stressful than that ).

    Long winded post, I know...
Hope this helps you get your feet wet!
