    580 gtx is my vrm getting to hot?

    Well lately i have been playing bf3 and after just 15-20 min gaming game freezes kick me to desktop i have to alt ctrl del to shut down bf3 at the same time my video card fan drops from 100% that i have it set at to stock heat isnt an issue and the card isnt overclocked just fan turned up using msi after burner

    Couple of things:
    1). use 285.62 drivers. I've had plenty BF3 of issues with anything newer.
    2). It may be your CPU clocks are not stable. BF3 is super sensitive to CPU stability. I have had the exact same issue you are describing and it's always my CPU (back clocks down or bump voltage)

    Ok thanks for the reply ill try that just seems wierd that all other games mass effect 3,skyrim,starcraft 2 all run fine at ultra settings

    After all this time seems that it was just msi after burner causing the problem i lowered the overclock same thing so i thought i would try turning off msi afterburner as i use it for fan control and now its fixed seem funny but true thanks for your help anyway

    That is rather strange What version of after burner? I'm using 2.2.0 beta 11. However I need to update it because it keeps telling me it about to expire on the 14th.

    was using the latest 2.2.14 yea i found it strage too but hey its working for me not complaining
