I like this board a lot. It just may be the thing to get me to build a system more modern than the one in my sig.

+1 to bob
I have ditched discreet sound and use toslink to an external DAC or AVR or use a USB DAC.
This board has seriously peaked my interest in ITX. For the past couple years I have been a big fan of mATX and was happy to see the Maximus Gene boards. I never use even half the capabilities of most higher end boards as I do not run multi GPU's.
Heck this could be the end of my LC'ed lian li tower...

Sorry I meant the Xonar Essence One. Though for that price, I'd rather have a DacMagic Plus or my separates.

I love baby motherboards. I can build two PCs with the size of one PC with such a gargantuan board (like the one I assume you own). Half the cost, same performance, same footprint... :p
To be serious though, it's great news to see ASUS back in the ITX arena, she was missed (now let's hope that the board would be as good as it looks).
pretty nice piece of hardware.. although, I didn't like the position of sata/usb3 connectors.
Anyway, it's nice to see mini-boards with high eng specs and the market.

MOBO: Maximus VI Extreme
CPU: Core i7-4770k
RAM: 2x4gb Dominator Platinum 2133
GPU: GeForce GTX Titan
Greetings from Brazil!
Looks like I need to start planning for MAX11Lv4

Now that is awesome. I've been using the Maximus IV Gene-Z(which is ing awesome) and judging by the Gene-Z I think I'll pick this little guy up. Now I just hope the price isn't something insane to offset the expected low volume.
Gene series arn't blue...

babies are cute, and this is a baby. It should OC well it has the proper VRM, but better it has a PCh so close to the socket, meaning much better signal quality between CPu and PCH=blck good. memory is close too. of course that also means many more signals might interfer.
Hmm, yeah I forgot that there is no LGA 2011 ITX boards. Still -in theory- I will be able to get my Ivy-bridges north of 5Ghz with proper cooling. Not too shabby for such tiny boards (my Z68 itx does 4.7Ghz by comparison). But I guess it would be severely lacking on the RAM department, oh well .... still if I put separate workload to each of these (theoretical at this point of time) machines I won't be far off behind you...
Fear the wrath of minuscule machines, I say
Exactly! Why do they miss out on targeting the "small server" crowd? Only 4 SATA and still some estate on the board..oh well. I have my old Gigabyte ITX stored away in a separate confinment, it does everything for me...torrenting, FTP, Mediastorage, gaming and WEB host. ITX is the best solution for all those needs for me. I wouldn't mind having 2 LAN ports as well, then I could throw in OpenWRT or Pfsense in virtualization and throw away my router/firewall.

I do admit that when I get my mind on a subject or build I am like a horse with blinders.
All I want is to build and test and any obstacles in the way are just that, small roadblocks to be kicked down or gone around.
Don't worry, I'll be back to normal in a few weeks..
