Which pump should i choose D5 or DDC

    Current loop:
XSPC 750 pump/res combo ( which is way too noisy )
    EK Supreme LT Nickel
Hardware Labs Black ICE Radiator GTX 240mm rad ( maybe swap with MagiCool SLIM TRIPLE 360 )
Current tubing 10/13mm, but will definetly go for 13/19mm
maybe add EK Supreme Vga universal block later, haven't decided yet.

looking for mostly silence, reliablility and good flow aswell
which pump should i go for?

Alphacool TPP644/VPP655 + XSPC Res top

    or

Laing DDC-1T Plus + XSPC Res top

Does the DDC-1T have PWM? If so, that's probably the one to go with as it's smaller and has more pressure. I have a D5, and it is a great pump too.

D5 will always be my first choice. It runs cooler, better reliability and is silent compared to DDC-family of pumps. Moreover, the pump looks much better - especially when fitted with Bitspower dress kit.

Also remember that this guy does not represent any sort of statistic. I personally own 6 ( yes, 6! ) MCP35X pumps and none of them have the issues he describes. The thing I really like is that its PWM so you can get it down to REALLY low power levels and its fine. Analog motors like the 355 or D5 are always going to have some min power at which anything less just wont start. Keep that in mind if youre looking for low noise.

I'm not sure that is the one you'd want, and especially not with XSPC top.

Personally, I'd get MCP350 because of good reliability track, nice pressure when two of them, small footprint and smaller heat dump compared to D5.

I own that one and I can say you stay clear of it if you are trying to bring silence and performance in the same sentence.

    reliability statement is questionable. atbest.

Which radiator do you have, Slim Triple 360 or black ice 240?

    i use push+pull enermax t.b. silence fans ( ~800rpm ) on my 240 at the moment.

    Whining again?

How about some numbers eh? How many 35Xs sold and how many with issues? How many D5s? Point is you have no idea.

I don't think there's anyone that uninformed to know nothing about DDC reliability record

Sorry for off topic, but how does sending someone a PM like this help resolve anything?

What does being poor have to do with anything? You blew any credibility you may have had with this stupid PM.

the DDC is smaller, cheaper, less heat dump, more powerful with higher flow and head.

Pick what you like better and what suits your needs. Every product on the market has defects, and you run the risk with every purchase that something will be wrong, no matter how good the reviews or how good the feedback on this (or any) forum.

Past experience has shown that the D5 is the 22r of pumps (this is an engine reference). Generally built like a tank, but not necessarily the best performance or most features, yet it stands the test of time. The MCP series (laing DDC series), is a little more like the 18RG. Slightly less reliable (not by much), but certainly not unreliable, and generally better performance/heat dump/noise for most users applications. The PWM version of the MCP/DDC series (35X) is like adding fuel injection; very little, if any, extra horsepower but extra usability. (interesting sidenote, fuel injection isn't that hard to tune with the right equipment.) Yes, I realize my analogies may fail depending on the perspective (and whether or not you have a clue wtf I'm talking about).

No matter which pump you pick, you run the small risk of needing return. Inspect it first, do a proper leak test (preferrably without the entire computer connected), and pray to whatever diety, entity, spirituality or nihilistitic beliefs you have that it doesn't have that very small percentage of retardation. Very few of us who have built more than a few systems can say we haven't had to return a part. Sometimes it's the manufacturer, sometimes it's our own fault. No matter what, fubar happens.

    D5

Both are great pumps. However the D5 fits what you want just a tad bit more.
