    Kodak to shutter camera business

Don't worry, once they stop producing anything they will start employing all the lawyers. You know, for the inevitable patent trolling that will soon follow.
They are the camera industry version of rambus and like rambus it doesn't matter how good your initial concept is, you have to move with the times or realise it too late and have to resort to trolling the industry with your patents. Either way makes good money.

Cameras and photography defined Kodak. Their printers, not so much.

Bad move on their part, IMO.

I have to agree. Many of my friends still use Kodak and they were quite good.

Sadly like many have pointed out, their printers were..well, rubbish.

    It's such a pity they're doing this.

Film defined Kodak. They're business was based around endless repeat business and despite inventing digital photography, failed to make anything of it for them selves. Ultimately their arrogance let them down.
