Firefox recently updated, and everywhere I go, I have ads. Words underlined and hyperlinked. Is there a way to turn this off?

Open the Windows hosts file and add the following to the bottom:

You may still see the text but it will not be hyperlinked and nothing will autoload.

what version of firefox are you running now ? I dont see anything like that on mine

I'm using the newest version 10.0. This is what I'm getting, just place my cursor over that word section that is highlighted.

nvm, it was an add-on in ff causing the problems...thnx for the replies..

Last firefox update basically wrecked it for me and it wouldn't open. I'm using chrome now
