    Saw this today on slashdot.org

Today I saw this article on slashdot. http://science.slashdot.org/story/12...way-discovered

The article refers to a protein in the brain called "Tau" that misfolds and may be related to alzheimer's. Someone in the forum posted that they asked Folding@Home if they were doing research on that protein and they did say it is one of the proteins they are focused on.

So for those of you interested in helping with Alzheimer's research, Folding@Home is a way that you can help.

I'm not sure if anyone will read this, xtreme doesn't seem too "into" crunching on the Folding@Home project. WCG and GPUGRID seem to be the big ones.

If it weren't for the sheer power draw that graphics cards use I'd still be doing F@H. But I have to keep my power bill in check...

Anyway, interesting. I've seen the results of Alzheimer's and it sucks. One of those many things I so hope we can finally find a way to beat.

    Thanks for posting up Josh.

I poke in here every once in a while to see what's up with you guys - I'd love to contribute but I don't have enough resources for 3 projects currently.

Thanks to all of you who do work on this!
