What thin bezel monitors will be avalable in 2012?

Hello, fitness friends (Boers and Bernstein, LOL)!

I will be moving up from 3x1 Surround to 5x1 Surround (thanks, Vega) sometime in the not-too-distant future. Project Quintuple Surround Fury? We'll soon find out. Stay tuned.

Just wondering what the XS family recommends concerning recent or future thin bezel displays in the 24" to 27" range. No lower than 1080p resolution, of course. Price is not an issue, but, I'm not going to drop, say, an extra $500 for a monitor that has speakers over one that does not (speakers not necessary), etc.

    Thanks.

Thinnest bezel I've ever seen is in Samsung MD230X3/MD230X6. It's not in the 24" to 27" range, but has 1080p resolution for each monitor in setup. As an alternative you can remove bezel from usual Dell monitor. Also NEC might have thin bezel in models like the P241W.

Why don't you just get the catleaps and remove the bezels!! I need to find a stand that will hold triple 30" monitors, I am wondering if a triple 27" monitor stand would work If i removed the bezels on my monitors....

Catleaps don't do 120 Hz. For the money, I would get five 120 Hz monitors and do 5x1 surround.

The 23" Dell u2312HM monitors (from the Ultrasharp series) use the LG IPS panels and have the lowest input lag of any display, even lower than CRTs. I rock three of them at 5940x1080 resolution and I absolutely love them.

The input lag of the U2312HM was incredibly low, and in fact the lowest we have ever seen from a TFT display. There was practically no delay at all with most measurements showing 0ms lag compared with the CRT. There was an occasional lag of up to 10ms but over many measurements we had an average lag of only 0.6ms. This was lower than the already very good U2311H (10.3ms) and the new Dell U2412M (9.4ms). Excellent work here from Dell to bring lag down to such a low level. This will present no problem, even to high end gamers.
The response time is still only 60Hz but the depth of colors more than make up for it.

I made a DIY de-bezel guide for anyone interested.

    Eh, 1080p x 3 (16:9) = too wide of an aspect ratio compared to 1200p/1600p x 3 (16:10).

However, 120 Hz 16:9 is good for a 5x1 display setup (Vega).
