Never heard of HCI Memtest.
Ive only ever used memtest86 in Windows, using multiple instances of 700-800MB untill ram is around 95%+ filled. LinX with AVX would stress the IMC and ram even more (with memtest going, I could still browse the web and do whatever, with LinX AVX with all ram tested, cant do anything else, and the CPU gets hotter with it then anything else (Prime95 64bit with custom ram usage, OCCT, IBT, etc...).
AMD is different though. LinX doesnt do much there.

Or is this already the memtest you are talking about? O.o
On any machine I've used memtest on, the machine becomes totally unusable, it even takes ~10 minutes or so just to stop the tests.

Yup, thats what Ive used. If I go over the amount of free ram available, then it takes a while for it to respond or do anything as windows either starts using the pagefile on the HDD, or tries to close background stuff.
Either way, Ive found for SNB, if it passes an hour of LinX with AVX, I never have stability issues with anything else. It also gets the CPU hotter then anything I can find. Plus 90% of the time, if its going to fail or error, it would do so in the first couple of passes.

Ive gotten much further with 2T or 3T with PSCs on all Intel systems with an IMC.

My new 2x4GB kit doesnt do as well. Seems like it doesnt respond to voltage as well. Itll do 2000 9-9-9 @ 1.6V, but not 2100 at 1.65V.

picky mem very picky i dont like this i sold one kit working on the MIVE would do nicely 1866 CL8 at 1,55 to a friend and they dont even boot crap this
the samsungs do 2133 9-10-10-28 1T at 1,5 see the thread i posted there

Even my kit thats not as good is still capable of better over all speed/timings then the Samsungs. The Samsungs are just better at lower voltage and higher speed. Its a lot like BH-5 and TCCD from DDR days. For a daily setup TCCD was good, but benching purposes and overall performance BH-5 was best.

The 2x2GB set is single sided ram. I am testing them now at 2000 8-8-8 1.65V with memtest and seem to be fine.

Anyone tried it with Asus Z77 mobo?
I love this ram, it's perfect for 24/7.
Tactical 1866@1600 7-7-7-21 1T 1.5V (real voltage, measured with DMM), other timings at "Auto".
Could not consider it as a full-stable test, but it's taking too much time and I'm not aiming at 1600 for daily usage.
However it's indicative enough for some basic stability. If it fails, one step up for VDIMM should fix it.
2500K + MIVG-Z
Running 2133 9-9-9-24 1T at the moment, seems 1.595 could do it.

For daily Im running 2080Mhz 9-9-9-27 1.6V so far, slowly lowering voltage as I have time. Ive managed to optimise the CPU to 4530Mhz, 1.32Vcore, 1.2CPU/NB.

Gonna try out these sticks^^

Got a kit of BLT2CP4G3D1869DT2TXOBCEU
Considering I came from DDR2 I am impressed. Currently got them running at 1600 8-8-8-20 at 1.55 BIOS.
Also im am on an AMD platform so I might be a bit different in terms of ability. Surprised the Sabertooth 990FX has no 1866 divider
Still no luck with 1600 C8 1.5 Tactical Tracer and 1866 C9 Tactical Elite on Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe. errors in memtest at 2133.
Well i am now at 1600 7-7-7-21 at 1.55 with 3Ghz NB at 1.3. May have to try and get more out of this.
2000 8-8-8-24 1.65V with Thuban and 1800 7-7-7-21 1.65V with Deneb is doable.

Time for some testing once I install the new SSD install OS etc..
These sticks were dirt cheap

Very interested in the 1600mhz kit you have there - as you said dirt cheap. What board will you be running them on?
At first GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3, but ASRock Z77 soon
