    New Crucial 1.5V DDR3 Kits

Anyone know what these are capable of? I saw one personal review of the 2x4GB 1866 kit that did some really impressive stuff for 4GB modules.
    http://forums.ocdrift.com/index.php?...ddr3-1866-cl9/

2000 8-8-8 and 2133 9-9-9 with less then 1.65V seems great for an 8GB kit.

I am thinking of giving these a try,

    Don't know why you're intent on 1.5V memory, but consider: I'm running 4 x 4GB G.Skill Ripjaws @ 2133 @ 9-11-10 CR1 @ 1.65V. Never had four sticks able to run at CR1 'til these. Outstanding!

Im not intent on 1.5V. The past 1.65V Ballistix were 2011 models and werent so great. These seem to be new for 2012, and the only way to tell is by the 1.5V rating. If that one review is what they can all do, they could be the new go to kit for 4GB dimms.

This is impressive ram if they all can do DDR3 2133 9-9-9-27 for $70.
    However, just picked up a pair of the Samsung 30nm DDR3 1600's that do DDR3 2133 9-10-10-28 @ 1.6v for $49:

Good to see Crucial back in OC after a few years of abstinence (apart from using PSC ) - but in one thing the tester is definitiely wrong, Intel is not more forgiving on mems, it is definitely no match for 990X with 8xxx Bulldozer, so if these mems run nearly as well on 1155 or 2011 will have to be tested. Times of Intel supremacy on mem compability and clocking are long over

    Yeah, I agree. Purchased a 2x4GB kit adata 1600G v2.0 (1600MHz 9-9-9-27) that does nearly 2200 9-11-9-27 1T 1.65V on Bulldozer (haven't tested for stability, but will do soon).
When I put them on the 2500K, they're clearly unstable even at 2133. Probably need a good amount of work to be stable. Bulldozer is superior regarding raw MHz.

I've purchased the 1866 Tactical kit, but don't know when it will be here. Hope results will be similar to those in the "review". Will report back once it's here.
Couldn't find the samsung anywhere in Europe.

Got a Mushkin kit that does similar to yours (near 2200 @ 9-11-9-27, and more than 2300 @ 9-11-10). Please show us how that Ballistix Tactical performs, and if you can, try them on your Intel platform. Cheers!

Those are impressive results for 8gb kits. I saw those memorys for sale on ebay, do you think there are the same as the first review ones?

I was going to get the 1866 kit from Crucials site, but need them this week, so shipping and tax made them over $100. Went ahead and just got the 1600 kit off newegg for $70.

I think I'll give the review's one a try, but I would like I.nfraR.ed to show some results first. Looks like there are nice rams. IC's?

I'd love to show results, but it might be not in the next 1-2 weeks. The problem is I'm using a middleware company based in the UK, that offers regular deliveries to Bulgaria.
Which means I buy the item and ship it to their address in the UK. After that, it will be delivered to me for cheap, but the courses are weekly, so I need to wait 1 to 2 weeks before I get the item.
Probably someone else will test them before me. Btw, got it for 53 pounds (60 euro), including delivery.

You would have to pay 103€ for the Crucial kit of the OP (69€ + 17.2€ Tax + 17€ Del.) from Crucial.eu , so i guess you did well...(17€ Delivery sucks...)
Your purchase is considered a golden one, if also the ram you got can reach the 2133-CL9 of the Crucials...

    Ok another Ram whore here.
Picked up the kit in the review (ddr3 1.5v 1866) from the Egg for $75 shipped.
Will report back in next week how it overclocks on Intel.

Free $19 ram cooling fan too

are them single or double sided?
crucial site says 512 MB x 64 (and that makes me think they are single sided...512 * 8 = 4096) but in the first post's pics they seems to be double sided.

That's nice! I'm really intrested in seeing some results in a P67 platform.
Are there Elpida 30nm based IC's?

AFAIK these kits are single-sided(???) (512MB density ICs)
The performance decrease of a single sided module should be offset by the timings these can do though...
The 8GB modules (16GB 1.5v Ballistix kits) should use the same ICs but double sided.

ah_khoo is here @XS too, if anyone would like to ask him questions I'm sure he would answer.

Good news is that it looks like they clock similar to BBSE (Though BBSE can do some crazy stuff on SB)

1866 7-8-7 under 1.7v for that particular kit looks pretty nice.

I must have missed that O_O

Unless they are 4 to a side, I guess those are single sided too(?)...think about the possibility of 16GB modules :O

Crucial = Micron. In other words Crucial is the public brand of Micron.
These could be 30nm Micron ICs? Haven't seen any info regarding this.

I'm asking on Crucial forums if they are single or double sided, later I'll ask about the IC's, but I don't think they'll provide me with that info.

One of the reps just replied on this for you! Double sided for the ones you asked about, and it sounds like all of them are double sided from the info given.
