Project: There Was A Budget At Some Point (56K Warning)

This isn't so much of a worklog because I didn't take many pictures during the "build process", mostly just after pics, but it might help someone trying to squeeze as many things inside a NZXT Vulcan as they can

I doubt anyone around here remembers my original buildlog from the days of Koolance being a bad word around here :P This is my first venture back into this world (and one of the first times I've posted in about 2 years, lmao).

Now to the actual log. I started this build as a sort of budget gaming computer, slowly adding pieces as I went along. Somewhere in there I forgot what "budget" meant, lmao. So now I have everything in there except the kitchen sink.

    Computer Parts List:

    Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z [$165]
    Intel i5-2500K (4.5GHz) [$215]
    G.Skill Ripjaws 4x4GB DDR3-1600 [$95]
AMD Radeon HD 5970 (stock for now, gonna OC for benches) [$300]
    AOC 2436vw [$310]
    OCZ Vertex 3 60GB (RAID 0) - x2 [$210]
WD VelociRaptor 300GB (RMA from original build, huzzah 5 year warranty) [$0]
    Asus Xonar Essence STX [$140]
    Beyerdynamic DT770 250 Ohm Headphones [$190]
    NZXT Vulcan [$70]
    NZXT Fan Controller [$25]
    NZXT LED Strip [$20]
    Rosewill HIVE 750W [$70]
Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Battlefield 3 Edition [$130]
    Razer Diamondback 3G [$0]
    6" SATA Cables (don't remember brand) - x3 [$10]
    MDPC Sleeving [$70]
    Sleeving Tools [$40]

    TOTAL: ~$2000 shipped

    Cooling Parts List:

    EK Supreme HF Acetal [$70]
EK FC-5970 Nickel + Acetal [$70] (Microcenter brand new, winning!)
    XSPC 450 Pump/res [$50]
    XSPC EX240 [$50]
Black Ice GTX Xtreme M92 [$60]
Black Ice GTX Xtreme 120 [$60]
    Noctua NF-P12 - x2 [$40]
    Scythe Kama Flow 2 92MM - 1700RPM (reduced to 1000 with Noctua ULNA) [$15]
NZXT 120MM Orange LED (included with case) - x2 [$0]
NZXT 200MM Side Fan (actually 190MM, only works with NZXT cases) [$20]
    Primochill Primoflex 1/2" ID - Black - 10ft [$25]
    Bitspower 1/2" ID Fittings - Matte Black - x8 [$30]
Bitspower 1/2" ID Right Angle Fittings - Matte Black - x4 [$50] (Seriously?)
    Primochill 3/4" OD Clamps - 10 Orange + 2 Black [$15]

TOTAL: ~$575 shipped (that would've gotten me about halfway done with Koolance, rofl)
    TOTAL TOTAL: ~$2600 shipped

Pictures (in order of me taking them):

My first sleeve (too much work, lol)

The sleeve in before the budget went entirely out the window.

Once I got the SATA power cable sleeved and crammed all those 6" SATA cables in there.

    With the side panel on.

    Molex's PSU-side 6-pin sleeved (badly, lmao).

Molex sleeved (not as badly, lol).

    Looks much nicer.

Original plan (the MOSFET I ordered was wrong not that it would've fit in there anyways, rofl).

Updated plan (almost what I have now, minus MOSFET)

Finished (I'm going to borrow a friend's DSLR to get better quality pictures)

Someone complained about my 24-pin and 8-pin so I had to sleeve them (was going to, just takes soooooooo long, lol).

    ALMOST FORGOT!!!

    Temps:

    CPU Idle: 40C
    CPU Prime95: 60C

    GPU Idle: 36C
    GPU Furmark: 40C

That just about sums it up. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, etc. feel free to post them Thanks for looking!
