Intel X25M SSD 8MB bug help

So I ran into this notorious 8MB bug myself.
Searching around gave me possible solutions by doing a secure erase on the drive.
So I have hdderase 3.3, drive is set in IDE mode but as it's detected as 8MB drive the hdderase says security set feature not supported.
Intel's SSD Toolbox won't even allow the usage of secure erase nor firmware update.
NO idea how other folks got it to work

Any help on how to force the hdderase to do it's job ? Other solutions to get this done maybe ?

Perhaps try MHDD? (IDE mode ofc) If prompt for a password, try "password".

Though a secure erase may revive an 8MB drive, I wouldn't even bother continue using it, as the expected failure rate would be higher than a drive that is not previously bricked into 8MB.
    This guy is xtremely lazy
