Question Some Help with Indigo Xtreme

Indigo Xtreme - Asking for ANYONE Familiar with this product for help.

    My Problem:
I Cant sustain the 90-95 degrees required on the CPU long enough so Reflow can Happen.

No More TIM Left, no More Indigo Xtreme and sent 2 Emails to company no Reply/solution Yet.

I would like to use this product as it seems its the best with my Waterblock, (and the fact i dont have money to throw away atm)

What Happened? / More Details about Problem
I have Followed the Instructions To the Letter, Took time to read, understand the process, watch Youtube Videos, do Reading in General, Get all required Software ready etc. Should note, before this process above I checked my bios settings so I could infact each the desired 90-95 temp

Roughtly What i did, Following the instructions
    1. Cleaned my CPU and Water Block thoroughly (with Artic Clean, dont this MANY times)
    2. Put Gloves on
    3. Remove bottom liner off the ETI
    4. Align on CPU as instructed
    5. Remove top liner off the ETI
    6. Mount water Block (I tighten each screw a little at a time, and use a digital rod to measure they are all the same height/tightness)

    Reflow
    1. PC has a Horizontal mounted motherboard (instructions state board must be horizontal before proceeding)
    2. Unplug/turn off Pumps (as instructed)
    3. Turn on PC
    4. Start up Realtemp and Fanspeed
    5. Select the graph with Fan Speed and Core Temps
    6. Start up Prime 95, Select torture test Small FFTs
    7. Start Torture test
    8. After a few seconds PC Jumps up to 90+ Hits 100, Turns off. (As TJ Max is roughly around 100)
    9. Confused, start up again after a min or so, jump into bios, double check throttling is on, and other MB temperature features are off
    10. Start process again, same results.

Noticing that i have 10-15 degrees above Ambient room temp at IDLE and should have alot better results i decided to see if reflow had occurred.
My Mistake here, i did not take photos, but i had not noticed any sort of reflow, after viewing pictures of other peoples reflow, it was still the same shape except it was flattened.

As i had a Two Pack Used the second, same as above, but this time, tried with intelburntest initially with pumps off, same results, then with pumps on, temp wont reach heigh enough to make reflow happen.

Now im stumped as to how to get this thing to 90-95 for a few seconds in order for the reflow to happen!

On my Core2Ex I used Intel Burn Test as I have always found it pushed my CPU harder then P95 ever has and I got it to reflow first time, same with a 2500k using an Antec 920.

From what I can see you followed the instructions just fine, so there's nothing wrong with your method imo, sometimes you can get unlucky with this stuff (I have a friend with a a R3F, 920 and XSPC Rasa block and both times failed due to uneven screw downs).

How are you certain that reflow wasn't achieved?

    What are your idle/load temps?

Sounds like there is thermal protection still turned on as mentioned above me.

Idle is about 10-15 above Ambient, keep in mind i have two Rads and that Should be lower.

    Load 60's-70's

The Thermal protection is Off Both CPU TM Function and SpeedStep are Off. Also any other Temp/Fan sensors.
CPU TM Function nrefers to the Throttling when the CPU gets Hot, it can screw with a system when overclocking.

I have Tried All Variants of With these function on or Off. But my CPU ALWAYS Hits TJ Max and Turn off. Thus i cant Reach the level 90-95 degrees required to Reflow for 30 seconds or so.

Note: I can Upload screenshots of my Bios to show settings. I always have tried this with default bios my Board came with and the Latest Bios.

I'm going to assume you have your CPU overclocked at this moment. I would try and lower that a little to see if you can sustain the 90-95 without hitting the 100.

Letting us know your overclock and voltages set would help.

Yeah those temps are way high for that amount of radiator coverage

+1 on underclocking (I believe the instructions suggest this) - I once did this without underclocking - I couldn't even boot without breaking 100C and shutting down. I'd also suggest not unplugging your pump until the last possible second, i.e. after boot just pull the molex.

Not sure why IBT would be less intensive than prime. Eitherway you could also run prime with less threads. As long as you haven't had any of the TIM get squeezed out the side and roll into the socket as a mini solder ball you can keep trying til you get it done. I had that once and it was a pain in the butt to deal with!

here's the simple way of doing it:
    install the IX
    install the block
    start computer + pump
    load prime95
    unplug the pump
run it UNTIL THE TEMPERATURE DROPS BY ITSELF
    start the pump again
    success

P.S. Don't overclock, don't overvolt, don't around with the settings. Just go on stock, do the reflow, then start to play. It's so simple!

I should Note, that it is Currently At Stock settings, Not overclocked in any way...

antiacid: Thankyou, but i had followed the instructions down to a T and they seem to be not working for me...

As per Suggestions i will try underclocking and get back to you all...
