    Remote Management finally... yippeee.. The Sr-2 severely lacked this feature unfortunately.
    Hopefully the Evga SR-X will also have this built on.. Things just got very interesting .. Cant wait for these 2 boards !!

    this board would use one of the new patsburg chips... the respin of the one used with the x79 boards... the one with the deleted features put back in...

    ...now the question is... where is the single chip board with the new patsburg......

    Has there been any more mention on that 1366/2011 Hybrid board that Asus had as that engineering sample months and months ago?

    Wonder if they will end up going down the ROG road to have something to compete with EVGA based off the somewhat success of the SR-2.

    Impressive piece of machinery. If it overclocks well it is the ultimate folding machine. Imagine 14 water cooled cards (7 x GTX 590s) and 12 i7 cores (2 x Sandy Bridges) all overclocked at their highest possible. It could easily pull numbers better than 10 average PCs and all in one "small" SSI CEB case... like I said quite impressive.

    Now all we need is the $7000 to build the machine and a nuclear plant to power it (even though I suspect 2 x 1500w PSUs may be enough)...

    The E5 Xeons go up to 8 Core 20MB Cache

    Considering this is a workstation board (not ROG obviously), why is it lacking SAS?

    Also, has anyone seen the internal connections at the bottom? I was wondering how many USB 3.0 connections this guy will support, amongst other things.

    Besides that, it looks like a board that's easy to WC.

    Since it uses Xeon X5's that means probably no or very little overclocking Sounds like more of a server board too rather than desktop related. I hope this isnt the dual 2011 board ASUS was talking about along with EVGA as I was really hoping to see a great dual socket client system that can overclock too.

    It is a -WS (WorkStation) PCB. Not sure why anyone would expect overclocking on it.

    P9X79 WS also is a workstation motherboard and it has no problems overclocking.

    Because its Asus and all previous WS boards have had overclocking? Overclocking relies on Intel leaving the CPU's multiplier and/or bus unlocked anyways.
