Ref 6950 GPU Clock fluctuates in Furmark

    Hello all!
I was testing my new card ref 6950 unlocked @ 900/1350 @ 1.175v and I noticed in the middle of furmark xtreme test, gpu clock was fluctuating between 860 and 900. I checked temp and it was fine 75c max.
That was with PowerTune already set to +20%
Also I want to know which is better, to use stock 6950 bios and use the unlock mod or just use 6970 bios as I'm new 69xx series owner and there is alot of info in the search but I would trust XS more

    Thank you

Most would recommend that you use the stock HD 6950 with the shaders unlocked. The 6970 BIOS seemingly runs tighter timings which could cause problems down the road. I ran both of my HD 6950 cards with the 6970 BIOS for a month without problems but I switched back to the 6950 BIOS with the shaders unlocked and the clocks set to 6970 speeds.

Check your Vreg and other temps. I've seen the secondary temps skyrocket which will cause throttling if you are not careful.
