    Smile cgminer > phoenix miner

I just changed to the cgminer and have noticed a decent increase in production.

My daily production went from 1.37 BTC to 1.46 BTC just by changing to the cgminer.
That is a 6.5% increase in production.

anybody else have a new favorite miner?

Been using an old version of Phoenix due to not touching the miners since setting up my 5830s. Now that I've picked up a pair of watercooled 5970s I'll have to check out this cgminer you speak of. I wouldn't mind a few more free BTC

I was using the old version of phoenix also, but got bored and decided to try a new miner.
Read on the forums that cgminer was supposed to be the best and gave it a try.

Good find then. Was reading about the HD 7970 for BTC mining and it sounds like it isn't worth the cost. We'll be better served snapping up HD 5970s and HD 5870s for dirt cheap in a few weeks

Got an update for Symantec AntiVirus and it told me cgminer was a trojan.

Had to uninstall Symantec to get mining again.
