I use trixx because with AB max vgpu is 1.3v .

Well I've two 7970 in CF and the only problem I had past 12.4 was low performance in Crysis 2 in some areas, nothing related with trixx overclock, AB overclocking, or Asus tweakit overclocking. Though I know this softwares are not forgranted because as I sad they don't come from AMD but else from various partners to operate my cards out of spec.

I've been using 12.11 beta 1, then beta 3 and now beta 4 flawlessly with my cards overclocked to 1240/1550 using AB, 12.11 Beta and 12.10 ( I think ) both fixe the Crysis performance problem. I'm using Windows 8 Pro 64bits which I reckon ins't standard software at the moment, despite AMD drivers do work well, 12.11 gave me a performance boost and I can overclock with both AB and ASUS TweakiT, didn't care to try trixx sinse I find it inferior due to not having memory voltage increses.

The only graphic card related problem I have are sporadic freezes when opening GPU-Z those I find are software related.

All in all quit bashing AMD because your favorite 3rd party software doesn't work, look under your own system, maybe a windows clean install could help. Clean the resgestry completly prior the installation of new drivers and enjoy.

Anyone on a matrix 7970? if so how you doing.
I aint doing that great, getting lockups(bs) with voltage geater then 1.26 same like the ref card i had... only software read atm since there is no easy read point unless you take off the back plate.. with all these dodads on the board i thought maybe they should have put one in the area of the other stuff on there.

Really don't know why you have such low scores for that high overclock. I believe you're not tweaking you Catalyst.

Uncheck all the boxes in Games >> 3D settings, and put all the arrows to left position (performance) then run the test again.

When I say "Low scores", it's based on HWbot scores.

    Cheers.

WCRF, CPU clock is sucks! 5250Mhz very small. I need 5500-5600Mhz, that unlock the power 4 videocards.

^Yes but thats good cpu score for the speed
7970 cards respond when getting them colder? what did you increase from stock cooling to water?

I am waiting for a shim to try water/dice.

Are you guys getting more out of these (1350 or more) with vmod on water? Im keen to try one again since the new drivers have helped so much but only if it beats my 680 Lightning outright.

Got a XFX DD 7950 with weirdly low volts. ASIC is 93%, GPU-Z, Trixx and GPU Tweak show 1.01v under load and thats good for 1055mhz. 1.1v nets me 1180mhz but the XFX DD cooling, atleast for the 7950, is rubbish and fan noise + temps get too much at that speed. Need to put it on water, should be good for 1300+

Like mine, Lightspeed. My XFX DD 7950 has 0.95v load. It gave a lot of headaches but after a BIOS flash is working perfectly. And ASIC of mine is ~85%
It benchs fine at 1250Mhz, but as you said, the cooler is a crap, temps are horrible and it sounds like something is going to break.

I bought a Accelero Xtreme 7970. Hope it works fine

Good to know that. Do let us know what the temp drop is and how much higher it clocks.

MSI HD7950 TwinFrozr, using a Sapphire vBIOS, thats recognised as a ATI vBIOS (not PC Partner). Somewhat of a identity crisis for my card

    1155 / 1565 1.2v Cats 12.11 Beta8

In case anyone is wondering, my card is using the ATI/Sapphire vBIOS because the stock MSI vBIOS is absolute crap. I couldn't go above 1050MHz on the core regardless of voltage. I also got weird glitches with the MSI vBIOS which makes me thing the vBIOS on the MSI card just isn't properly optimised / tailored for the PCB design. The ATI / Sapphire vBIOS is also a LOT newer than the vBIOS that came on my MSI card, 015.017 vs 015.022.
