GA Z68X-UD5 or P67 MIVE?
Hi, need a bit of help deciding - got around 4 hours to make my mind up . MIVE or UD5?
I've currently got a P8P67-Pro. I cant post with the 21.33x multi or run tighter than 8-9-8 timings with the black slots. Tried 7 different kits - it just sucks. My new memory (4x4gb) can run 2133mhz 10-11-10-28-2T 1.6v in the blue slots and 8-9-8-1T 1866mhz in the black slots.
My 2500k is poor needing 1.52v+- to keep 5ghz stable with EIST and C-States on.
So, my target is to use 4 x 4gb @ 2133mhz 10-11-10-28-2T (or better), 5ghz daily drive @ around 1.52v.
The MIVE would also mean giving up my Xonar D2 as theres no pci. However, that's not a deal breaker as I can use it in the media pc build the P8P67-Pro will be used for.
Overall im leaning towards the UD5, mainly as the MIVE is £60 more and would mean sacrificing my Xonar (plus im p*ssed at Asus at the Pro sucking so bad). However the bargain hunter in me is attracted to the MIVE price and i know for sure itll run 4 dimms.
Any opinions which one I should get?

There are no second toughts,M4E.

You can't really go wrong with either board. In your case, it sounds like you need the PCI slot so the UD5 will work for you. However, if you plan on using vcore higher than 1.45v and a high overclock, by ALL MEANS get the m4e instead; the gigabyte multi-step 10 LLC levels is VERY unstable at higher voltages..it works great at lower vcores like 1.25v and 4.5 ghz, but when you start getting above 1.4v, you begin to get erratic swings, like large random drops or rises at LLC7...and most of these rises or spikes happen at very light or medium loads.

Went for the MIVE. Hopefully here tomorrow .
Cheers for the heads up on the LLC thing Falkentyne. Did some googling and you're spot on - found a good few comments about a lack of high voltage stability. Im really gonna miss my D2 though. Love that card.

M4E without a doubt (very good mem oc'er)
works with blck better than all so far (i think ud7 b2 is the only other that comes close)
Giga boards are usually a little harder to dial in sometimes
LLC is amazing on M4E, offers more control of certain voltages and features than the gigabyte boards.. also bios support/ tweaking software is a little better on the m4e imo

pretty much what everyone else has said, M4E with out a doubt.
