I really hope Nvidia pulls a rabbit out of the hat and releases GK104 in February like some rumors say. I just have a bad feeling it's just one of those "we are (not) ready" rumors that just don't pan out...

As for 3DCenter specs, aren't those just pure speculation by the author with no basis other than a rumor that Nvidia dropped the hot clocks system? And if they did the numbers tell nothing. At this point we've had pretty much every single number of CCs between 512 and 2304. I'm sure one of them is right...

Is Nvidia usually this secretive? If I recall whenever they have a big product on their hands the leaks tend to be fairly accurate

GTX580 had little to no leaks. I think everyone was surprised.. especially AMD.

Because AMD is on 7 series and Nvidia thinks dumb consumers might think AMD is better because 7 is bigger then 6?

i was mostly think to a merge on sku, as it seems the GK104 ( 760 ) should be there a lot of faster of gk 100, or they have pass some future maxwell change directly on kepler.. needing in time frame remove the 6 > 7

consumers are dumb but not enough for this thing between 2 brands for number scheme.

Hmm... GPU-Z just added detection support for Kepler.

I'm still laughing at how much the speculative specs are jumping around... Last time we heard things vary this much was the G80.

I will say this much though, as long as one of these companies can give me a card at around (or above) GTX 580 performance for GTX 560 prices, they'll have my money. I just can't justify high-end any more.

I get a kick out of watching some people go ballistic when such things are posted up.

While no one is really privy to what's being presented, remember that tonight at 7PM EST NVIDIA will be holding their CES press conference.

Instead of getting the info through secondary sources, you can watch it directly through a link at nvidia.com/ces2012

According to the press release, NVIDIA will be showcasing their "Tegra mobile processor, Geforce GPU, 3D Vision" along with a preview of some new "vehicle navigation and infotainment systems."

Personally, I don't think that Kepler will be detailed but stranger things have happened....

    Enjoy!!!

I thought some info might get leaked during CES, a little sneak peak directly from NV though, that would be something different.

Best one was the 7800 i think.

Back then ATI came with their x850 (refresh of the x800) and Nvidia came with nothing and just improved the availability of their 6800 models. And then out of nothing they came with a hardlaunch of the 7800.
There were no real leaks about the 7800 before its official release and it was available from launch.

But so called news sites like to post fake benches. It increases their clicks and clicks are money.
