Are there any 30nm/40nm chips for 8gb sticks?

All along the watchtower the watchmen watch the eternal return.

Wow, how do you think these would do on X58 with 1.65v?

Wondering the same thing. GeneII only goes down to 1.5v which is acceptable.
Really wanting to try these for 12gb and retire my BBSE.

My 2 Gb are some kind of elipdas that do 2100 Mhz CL 7 on P55, or 1900 Mhz CL 7 on X58.

Two lots of 24 Gb that I tried so far were crap, they only did 1600 mhz 9-9-9 or 1800 mhz 10-10-10, and I found out that in Metro benchmark their average FPS was 5 less that my 2 Gb modules!

I require 4 gb modules that go up to 2000 Mhz 8-9-8 at the least, otherwise it doesnt matter if I double my ram when my PC performance would suffer significantly.

I'll assume that any 4 gb modules which go up to or beyond 2000 Mhz CL 8 on dual / quad channel will run at 1900 Mhz CL8, so I need to see some 8-8-8 and 8-9-8 testing first.

Ok, they are impossibile to find it in Europe and shipping costs USA - EU from the shops that does it internationally are absurd (70-90$!!!).

Is there any chance to get the 2x4GB 1600Mhz 30nm kit from one of you XS user? Several overseas trades here: http://www.heatware.com/eval.php?id=50117

Yea ram available in Europe is rubbish. No high performance low profile 4 Gb dimms have ever been available here, only ever bog standard 1600 Mhz Cas 9 crappy ram, or 1866-2000 Mhz 4 Gb sticks with tall heatspreaders.

    Have you tried here?

It sucks here for prices and availability, and with all the taxes internationally shipping can basically put an end to the whole idea .

I've never heard of that store before, why is is a co.uk with prices listed in $?

MemoryC and OCUK have the largest memory range in the UK, other etailers hardly stock any ram.

    I found this:

    Rip off Britain FTL.

Time to stop trolling around and get large vram cards If you are dead set at 1GB cards in SLI and need fast 24GB RAM then the best option in the EU is perhaps this:

    http://www.lambda-tek.com/components...prodID=2115087

    With 1.65V these can run at 1866MHz 8-9-8, 2000MHz 9-10-9 and 2133MHz 9-11-9.

The best 4GB DIMMs in Asia is the 30nm Samsung, which can do 1.55V 2133MHz 9-10-10. However these ICs are not sensitive to voltage and further bumping the volts to 1.65V does not help.

    1. I would be more than happy running @ 2000MHz. Although I will still try to run 2400MHz just to see if I can find 24/7 stability or even for some benchmark usage.
    2. Yeah, I definitely won't be pushing 1.7v.
    3. Good to know.

It doesn't look like Amazon offers that kit anymore (Samsung 30nm DDR3-1600 2x4GB), I'm pretty sure it used to be the same one that is offered on Newegg. I wonder if it has been changed. Can anyone else confirm or deny this?

    Thanks!

Ordered an 8gb kit of GSkill PI's 1600c6 to try next. Hope I am able to do better with 2gb sticks, I really have no need for 16gb.
