I just hating my cpu or bios right now, can't test how stable is that cause CPY-NB lower than 10x are not stable at all.

but it can run spi 32mb even at 2440Mhz @ 1,60v but NB isn't prime stable at 2500mhz, if I set higher voltages cpu will freeze, anyway I can bench w/ NB set at 2640 1,33v

Not sure what you call stable, but no worse than what I see posted elsewhere.. I can run LINX and Hyper pi 32 OK at 2400Mhz, . not stable yet in LINX @ 2500 ..

I know.. hence the hyper pi32 .. but from a system perspective , its a good indicator (at least for me)

well u can see how it eats ALL memory on your system due to the max problem size so it does test mem a lot but i prefeer PRIME BLEND and then play BF3

yes it surely uses a lot of ram, but it doen't use random patterns much in storage.

Prime blend can find mem problems w/ less than 3hrs, while it might run for a day in linx

Actually even hyperpi 32mb it's better for that

Linx is the best one to find CPU related problems, 2hrs of it it's more than enough

On my Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3, four pieces of these passed HyperPI 32M, but bombed out of Prime95 blend within 30 minutes.

1866MHz, 9-9-9-28-1T. Testing with 2T now. For those testing with Super/HyperPI 32M on Z68, you might wish to try other stress testing software.

I must quote. If you are testing RAM you should definetely use a real RAM stress test like Prime95 Blend but then custom and putting the right amount of memory to be tested because Blend tests just 1600MB by default.

HyperPI or Linx do not test them much at all. Passing them does not assure you about the risk of random BSOD in real-use too. Moreover a cold stress testing is even more realiable about full mem. stability.

    Cold stress testing?

I'm kinda out of touch, my previous rig being AMD AM2 and DDR2. You mean like leave the PC off for 24 hours, then turn it on and run Prime 95 immediately?

    EDIT:

I'm using the latest version of Prime 95 v27.2. Even if I key in 6000 MB for custom, the Task Manager shows that Prime's only taking up 3.99GB. Is there some OS limit that an app can not take up more than 4GB?

Nope. Click on my signature! No limitation with 64 bit o.s..

Anyway ~8 houres is enough for cold stress testing and yes I mean just what you said. I managed to pass several houres of Prime95 @hot boot while @cold it wouldn't last 4-5 minutes!

Oh I screwed up and used the 32bit version of Prime95. Heh. That was funny.

Shall try the 64bit version on a cold boot.

Nor prime nor linx will test memory as they should, HCI MemTest, 6 instances of 1024 (cases of 8192mb) 500% will definetly test stability on memory.

But the ram will be stable Andre with HCI memtest... nothing to do with CPU, nor mobo...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

well from our experience it has something to do

u can pass overnite memtest and fail...even a game noone here can assure that linx, memtest, prime or whatever is the best test you know that leg we shared a lot of experiences on this since 775

reall life is what counts, game hard, let system idle, etc
