    Quick load temp question

Hey guys.. i was wondering if it was normal for a SS tuned for around 250w (built by ron) to go up all the way to 30C @ load according to OS readings (real temp).. however it jumps almost instantanouesly back to negative temps as soon as stress test is finished

however evap temp stays at the -40s to high 30s during the whole thing (fluke thermo)
which reading is more accurate of actual temp?

Just wondering if i may have a leak seeing as temps are kinda high @ load (just 5ghz 1.385v)

How long have you been running the setup? And what mobo is it? Could be that the temp sensor is getting confused, but I thought that was taken care of since 2005 onward. Going from -40/-35 up to 30c definitely is NOT good for the hardware or the overclock and seems unlikely to me, unless you're getting above the 250w ability of the unit; then temps do typically skyrocket like that.

Try running stock for a bit and see if it maintains that -40/-30 range while stress testing. If it continues to run a massive subzero temps, then you could very well have maxed out the cooling unit.

Speaking of which, how old is the cooler?

My unit is tuned for 220w and according to Core temp my CPU loads max between +7-10c at 5Ghz

No software will read subzero temps correct.
You need to get a meter and a K-Type probe to read the correct temps.

If that's right, then 30c from a 250w unit sounds suspect.

Almighty, what tuning have you done to increase efficiency to 220w?
