    G.SKILL F3-17000CL9Q-16GBZHD testing results

This one kit from G.SKILL is looking interesting for abit cheaper Quad channel kits for SB-E, well let to see what i can do with it

    Setup...

    i7 3960X ES
    ASUS Rampage IV Extreme
    G.SKILL F3-17000CL9Q-16GBZHD
    HD6970 CF
    Intel SSD X-25M & Windows 7 64bit
    Antec HCP 1200W

First try i checking performance of XMP profile is G.SKILL guaranty spec is DDR3-2133MHz CL9-11-9-28-2T compare with
CR 1T but same clock and timing

2133C9-11-9-28-2T by XMP boots and tRFC 96

Then change CR to 1T and i see tRFC is auto change to 120 after boots but other timing still same XMP - 2133C9-11-9-28-1T, tRFC 120

My set has CFR instead of BFR like these older kits but they seem to have room to go in terms of raw clock speed. I'm sure they can do 2666+ on Ivy Bridge.

Yes, indeed they can do at least DDR3-2666 on Ivy Bridge

Very nice! I love this kit, hard to beat for the price. Im playing with it now, seeing what it will do on normal voltages.

    2666c11-13-13-35-1t 2x4gb and 2801c11-14-14-35-2T 4x4gb
My 2666 TridentX will not pass 32m at 2800mhz with any vdimm

The 2600 TeamXtreem c10 is quite nice also, but for the money, a good kit of these RipjawsZ is hard to beat IMO.

4x4gb RipjawsZ F3-1700c9 @2900c11-14-14-35-2T loose sub-timings 1.85vdimm, w7-64 efficiency is poor but mainly testing the IMC.

Good grief those are some strong sticks. 1.66v for DDR3-2680 C10?!

Is there a reason, other than speed screen shots, to run at these speeds with such high dram, vtt, pll etc voltages when i can run my 2133c9 ripjaws at 2400c11 with much better read/writes/latency scores?

It's for the fun of it. Also I found if I run the subtimings on auto, I only need 1.65v set for 2666 C11.

See? My RipjawsZ mysteriously morphed into TridentX 2666 sticks

Some 1100MHz results (IMC limit) to contribute to the thread:

    better pair:

    worser pair:

    all four together:
