Agreed too but not as expensive as "binned" X57, x58 SB
Gskill seems to have a lot of difficulty to produce high end kit like the 19200C91110 sold out everywhere. Don't want to miss this one and i tested 16gb is overkill, 8gb is more than enough.
Hope is like good wine price increase over the time!

    Nice work guys!

I have a noob question. Am I expecting too much to find an 8gb kit to run in quad channel 2133 7-9-7 or even 7-10-7 24/7 on 1.7v or less?

I have a few 4gb kits that will do this on s1155, but unfortunately not matching kits. I just picked up a 4x2gb kit of G.Skill PI's that are running 7-10-7 28 2133mhz, but they only boot when using the Elpida Hyper profile. I dont know a lot about sub timings but they look to be loose compared to say the PSC Tight profile.

I have been using Gigabyte boards for a few years, and have just used the Extreme memory profile to set sub timings.

PIS series are 90% PSC, have to use looser timing than hypers. PSC can't be stable at 8 tRCD, try to set 11.
first try PSC loos timing and set command rate to 2T...

    ^Thanks.

After running s1155 for a while, its kind of hard to get excited about 8 11 8 28 2t. Maybe Im not cut out for quad channel overclocking lol.

not easy set tRCD lower than 10 or 11 on X79, we have to forget nice old tight timings

Trying DominatorGT 2000 c8's. Weird issue Ive been having from the beginning on this board with hypers. It will boot fine with 8gb at 2000c8 8 8 24, or 2133 8 10 8, and pass hyperpi and other benches with no issues. But at random the board just powers off. Only way Ive been able to fix this is by setting the channel ab/cd phase control to extreme. Asked Shamino if it was safe to run this 24/7, and he said its safe 24/7, just enabling 2 phases to run all the time instead of downing to 1 phase when load is low, power savings stuff. Anyone else have this issue? Is there another setting Im missing that will help fix this?

no hypers here to test with but I have not experienced this with BBSE or PSC, what kind of vdimm are you giving them?
