    Ok I will test

It works, I put at 3 seconds (5 seconds by default), I not ROG screen, but it is not faster (I feel)

In fact, with the Intel drivers RSTe (those windows), I have the boot which is very long (the animation of the logo of Windows 7)
but with the RST, the Windows logo is faster

    It's the same with you?
boot (power button until the desktop windows) is 45 seconds with an SSD and RSTe,
is ~ 35 seconds with RST

    Thanks so much
    Sorry for my english

Hi, did you find the RSTe 3.2.0.1135 slow in booting to Windows screen? Thanks.

Man, I thought I was doing okay until I realized my gflops were low! Can someone help me as to why LinX is showing slow Gflops.

    System Specs:

Asus Rampage 4 Extreme Intel 3930k Bios 2003

    Watercooled

G.Skill Ripjaw Z Series 16GB 2133 (F3-17000CL9Q-16GBZH) XMP settings as stated by Gskill

    XFX 6970 X2

    Silverstone 1500 watt PSU

The system can run a solid 4.7 and 4.9 ghz (still working on a solid 5ghz) but LinX is reporting highest Gflops @ 109 to 110 with HT turned off and 85-89 with HT turned on. I have seen others post their gflops from 163 to 200. I guess 160's gflops would be the norm at 4.7ghz with 2133 memory. If you need more info on bios settings, I can post that when I get home this afternoon

Your linpack binaries are probably out of date.
google 'intel math kernel library download' and get the latest ones.

The other thing is you should boot to diagnostic mode when you run LinX.
Start -> run -> msconfig -> diagnostic mode -> reboot.

    zoson, thanks man!

That did the trick. I did try the diagnostic mode but the gflops were the same. It is now 190 gflops.
Thanks again for the quick reply and help.

Hey guys, I need a quick advice from you all, as I have opportunity to get some stuff from abroad.

I was thinking of some memory, planing to use on Rampage 4 Extreme (and Maximus 5 Gene):

    G.SKILL Trident X 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Model F3-2400C10Q-16GTX @10-12-12-31

    G.SKILL Ripjaws Z 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Model F3-2400C10Q-16GZH @10-12-12-31

I'm leaning towards 11-11-11-31, but I would appreciate any advice.

    Thanks guys!

I'd go with some Mushkin Redline 994057 or 994056 instead of any of those, Don. 4x4GB DDR3 1600 7-7-7-24
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820226313

That's what I got for my RIVG. 2200MHz 9-9-9-27-1T on stock volts. Haven't tried higher, but I don't see why they wouldn't at least match those G.Skill kits.

I'm finally getting around to building a water loop for this system and wanted to know everybody's opinion on the best VRM/Chipset blocks? I had my heart set on the Koolance block, but they've been discontinued and are hard to find.
What's the verdict on the XSPC block? Is it any good? Any other suggestions?

And if nothing else, I like the placement of the barbs better on the Koolance.

I don't know what IC is on them. It has Mushkin markings, and Mushkin wouldn't tell me when I asked their support by email.
I want to try more overclocking! But, I'm moving very soon so I am packing up my stuff. That computer is already in a box for transport. I will try more at my new place once I get settled in.

Just a few thoughts on the Mushkin:
    1. No other manufacturer is selling 4GB density sticks at 1600MHz 7-7-7-24-1T!!! So, I think regardless of the IC, these are better binned than anything else on the market. They should do tighter timings at any rated speed than anything anyone else has.
    2. Only 45mm tall heatspreader. This was a concern for me. I have limited space, so smaller is better!
    3. ORIGINAL 999057 and 994057 use a different pcb than newer models. The new ones use the green Mushkin Redline PCB. It does not seem to matter, I have one 992057, two 997057, and three 999057 running in my R3E(6x4gb). The 992057 and 997057 are green PCB, and the 999057 are black pcb.

What do you guys think of this kit? http://www.mushkin.com/Memory/Quad-Kits/993997.aspx

Two kits of TridentX 2400 would be another option but I haven't seen any experiences with them on X79. Hopefully someone would share soon

Two kits of TridentX 2400 would be another option but I haven't seen any experiences with them on X79. Hopefully someone would share soon
The fact that X79 quite a animal need to tame to his like. I will give GSKILL a shot.

    New BIOS 2105 for R4E/F/G:
    http://www.mediafire.com/?m0fyw5d7lgkle82

    First upgrade with CAP convertor:
    http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Int...2011/Intel_X79

    Then flash to xxx2105.CAP

    Updates Fast Boot Options
Use Numeric keypad DEL button (not the other DEL) to easier access BIOS after a reset in OS (Fast Boot Mode)
