Yes Iv added it to the bios myself, Only problem is, the only way to flash it. Is using Flashback. because Asus have a security validation on there bios's if you either try to flash via Asus Suite or EZ Flash 2, but Flashback bypasses this.
so you can use custom Bios, like the one Iv edited.

How odd, only the raid rom has been changed, shouldn't effect it posting, Did you manage to revert back?

Hi, did you flash your custom rom directtly from the old 1404? Thanks. Cause mine already with the 2003. I am thinking if there is a backdoor (as stated in other forums) to flash it back to old 1404 and use your custom rom.

I will try revert later. Now flipped to bios2.

Edit: okay on bios2 i have flashed to 2003 so both bios chips are updated to 2003 & solved my booting issue. Later i will try your custom bios again. Tq

Edit2: successfully flash from official 2003 to your custom bios in windows using Asus update. Thx

Sweet glad it worked in the end, And yeh I updated from 2003 to the custom bios, I haven't tried to revert to 1404, No reason too atm, But I would of thought using the Flashback would allow you to downgrade the bios if needed

Bios 2003 with Intel Raid Rom (2101) for Rampage 4 formula
For best results, upgrade to 2003 bios from asus, once done, Put my custom bios onto a USB stick and use the flashback method.
I have already renamed the bios so the Flashback can read it.
I can't test this bios, as i don't have the R4F, but its pretty much same method of adding it to the bios,
So please use at your own risk,

2xxx Bioses provide Fast boot option to speed up boot times especially at resets.

You can adjust post delay time to be longer (if for example you find it hard to enter BIOS)
You can disable Fast boot to make it post not as fast during resets

ONLY IF 2003 BIOS or NEWER
To Flash back to 1xxx.ROM, Rename 1xxx.rom to ERALL.ROM and Use USB Flashback

Thank you very much. I've flashed the BIOS and it is working very good. Here is a comparison between the 1404 and 2003 in ATTO with A-DATA SX900 64GB SSD without overclock on anything:

I installed the CAP Converter.rom, and it directly to the updated bios 2003, is this normal? (not needed File "Rampage-IV-Extreme-ASUS-2003.CAP")
CAP Converter installed with EZ-Flash and I have had the EC firmware updates, etc.

Stupid question (yes I know), "both extract files onto a USB stick", ok but this 2 files are useful, then?
    Before there was only one

And you have the same (version iROG, ME)?

    Thanks

Both files are the same, only difference is the extension (.Cap and .Rom) other than that they both the same, I wasn't sure which file it would read, So I put both of them on the USB stick to save time, And yes I have same version as you, Only thing custom bios changes is the Intel raid rom. hope that helps.

    Thank you for your explanation
I was surprised to not have the same version of "iROG-1" and "iROG-2"

You have the option "Post Delay Time" in the bios? I have not had any new option in the "start" with the 2003 bios
I do not have all the options shown in the screen of LardArse

    Thanks

    holystarlight, thanks for your bios
There is a way to be sure that installing the modded bios to succeed?

well if it boots, that's a good enough sign! haha, But you should see on the Intel rom screen, (where it shows your Raids/HDD/SDD) the version number top right, it should be (3.1.0.2101)

Oh Fair enough, I haven't used AHCI mode, as all my HDD/SDD in raids, Can always set it to Raid mode, and reboot and see if it says (3.1.0.2101), And if it does, then all is good! And just switch back to AHCI mode, That's the only way I can think of at the moment, Tho I would of thought, If you can boot into windows using my bios, then it installed fine anyway.
