    batman:AC unplayable junk

batman:AC unlocked at 9, download it, install it and its spyware/rootkit, go to start and then it wants to log into GFWL, put my live account in and it errors out, then try to make an offline account and it dosnt ing work.

so, i guess i will have to be pirating a game that i own again.

also the config file comes broken stock again with mouse and frame smoothing and its go cheats for NV enabled and optimization for amd disabled again.

I didn't realize it was out yet .

I don't mind the windows live crap, it's needed for re5 as well and it's not very big.
Hopefully..., I haven't tried a windows live game I think since re5 though, could be widows live was updated and no longer works for me lol, that would suck.

    Edit:
I hate port comments... :P, seriously though...

C'mon, another crappy GFWL? Jezzz that is the worst form of DRM ever to be written. Why do they insist on pissing us off once and again? As if that piece of crap would stop any kind of piracy....

FFS, easy now, none of you have actually played the game, give the bashing a rest until you tried it. I understand the frustration with the broken config and Live, but it seems a little harsh to judge the hole game "unplayable junk" just because of that.

Stupidest comment of the week? When you BUY something, you expect it to WORK out of the box, period.

Mine did on steam, and I love it. Not a fan of LIVE but already had an account from Dawn of War so not a big deal here. Anything else?

That was not a comment, but a question (notice the '?') - and I 'm more surprised because AA works fine - OP was having problems with GFWL is another issue.

its funny that games like this pretty much push people to pirate it, to get a easy to use, hassle free version of the game.
with all thier DRM, programs tied into the game unnecessarily, windows live being forced to be logged in, pop ups in the games about things you dont care to know....

cant say I blame someone to pirate it, since pirates tend to strip eveything out of the game thats not needed.

FYI, the DX11 path is messed up in this game, so if you haven't disabled that already, do it.

im on a 4890 so i dont get any dx11

i finished the batman story it was good, the catwoman is not so good but its like a bonus so its not bad as i got 10hours off the batman stuff

the only thing i did not like other than GFWL/securom was that it dose not work in 16:10, it lags out and has a bad FOV but 16:9 is good.

It's working fine for me. It recognized my GfWL offline login right away and had no trouble accepting it and playing.

I'm playing at fairly high res (1600x900) considering my GPU (GTS 250 1GB), with pretty high settings and decent frame rates. Only thing I found a bit odd were the limited res options and slight hitching when auto saving and transitioning to new maps via doors, the latter might be due to my relatively slow 75 MB/s HDD though.

Graphics are good, shadows very smooth even without AA, cutscenes are excellent, hero animations smooth and free flowing, and gameplay is pretty good. Catwoman's movements especially are very good. Honestly I can see why even the PC version is averaging a 9.2/10 worldwide.

This seems to be an anti GfWL thread more than anti BAC. I don't like GfWL anymore than the next person, but more often than not when most can get it running and a handful can't, there's something being overlooked. I just don't feel it's fair to blame a well made game for distastes toward GfWL.

Please, please, can someone test before and after without DX11 and PhysX features enabled maybe at high AA to simulate a load?

I have a GTS 250 1GB and had to drop from 1600x900 res to 1280x720 because of the stutters in places, like fast gliding/grappling through the rooftops, complex corridors, etc.

I need to know if this patch fixes stutters overall, or just for DX11, PhysX and SLI? I don't get a huge amount of stuttering, esp after dropping res, but there's still enough there to be annoying.
