    Speed Test?

Your web browser downloaded 1,071,147 bytes in 2.31 seconds. In other words, your download rate is 3,619.52 kilobits per second. At this rate, you could download a 10 megabyte file in 22.1 seconds.

I ran this result from www.bandwidth.com for my cable connections and was wondering if this was good?

Where else can I pull some accurate speed tests?

so since it was dead on with yours, are you saying that the test might be general and not specific or that my connections is good, like yours?

    ahhh...

DSL reports has the worst online setup ever...
They have no organazation anywhere on there site, it is just a mess.
They indicate their speed tool is off-line.

    Anywhere else?

I was getting similar results on Shaw's 50 service for the last year or so. I'm trying their 100 this month, mostly for the improved upload bandwidth. I'd still waiting to see them get into the 10+ range which they plan on doing once they recalim the remaining analog spectrum.

I just have basic comcast lowest package they offer for TV and internet. Cost is just $55/month for both and this is what
    I get.

BTW, why was this 9 year old thread resurected??
Boy that info was old. As am I. Currently my kids have taken over my desktops. They are both sporting matching GTX1080's. Last Christmas I got everyone Oculuses and thus GTX1080's. My eldest is some sort of CSGO champion gold label something or other. Me I work and shoot real guns. Build Comps as needed.

I'm going from Ann Arbor, MI to Comcast in Chicago. Just upgraded to 500meg up/down

It helps my provider peers with comcast with a 10gig fiber.
