Has anyone been able to install the "F6" raid drivers? F*&^ing Gigabyte churned out a hand full of un-signed drivers that Win 7 x64 will NOT install... I'm so excited to finally have a working board only to encounter this . Should've stuck with Asus boards...

Yes. Also tried the preinstall driver from gigabytes website. No luck with any of the raid controller drivers. This is ridiculous...

And now I'm getting the 6A halt again... I really hate this board so far.

why you cant boot? because of the 6A code? remove cpu cooler, start pc, mount cooler on running system. and update to F4f.

You mean booting without CPU cooler at all? Are you sure that CPU won't die in this case ?

Yeah, this board is a really hard case. I'm making a big review of X79 boards ATM and this is the only I have troubles with .

this worked for me. it seems the cpu/mb socket dosent like to much pressure from the cooler when starting up. after booting/ 15 sec. of course i mountet the cooler again.

Finally got the damn thing to boot and updated BIOS to F4. Now if I can only get Windows to install the preinstall RAID driver... it has detected my RAID array, but still won't install the driver because it's unsigned.

strange, some sort of contact issue ....

We had a warranty case in Australia with 6A code and got the board back. Tried it with our CPUs (all ES) and board was working fine. End user had a retail 3930K. We asked him to sell us the CPU so we can check but he refused so our guys went to the local retail shop and purchased a new 3930K. Board was working fine without drama. We were thinking it may have been to do with that specific chip but it seems it may have been a mount issue too as we tested with a stock cooler.

    Hi mate,

I've asked the HQ today about your problem and they retested and found no issues with the website driver

I think it's my Windows disc. I'm trying t get a hold of another disc to try. I finally said f&*k it and installed it without the RAID. Got Windows installed and updated. Went to reboot with my 1TB HDD installed and the damned thing is halting on 6A again... but this time it reboots itself and repeats...

Maybe, try to also take the CPU out and clean the pads with metho or alcohol and insert back. Tighten the cooler lightly just enough to make sure it sits flat on CPU and so it can't come off and see if it's the mount that is possibly doing this.

We checked with local stores and they told us other brands are experiencing a similar issue which could be mount pressure related

Well, I'm using that Intel RTS2011LC cooler, so can I just keep it on CPU with just my fingers as a pressure and tighten the screws after boot up?

Received new giga x79 ud7 today. This second board is lucky. The first one got burnt. This one was involucrated in a car accident and it survived!!!

Well, after installing it, 6A error. But after clearing cmos, and flashing to f4f, the board works solid like a rock. I am happy with it, happier than with rampage iv and its first pciexpress next to my heatsink.

Regards from Spain and Merry Crhristmas!!!

Any of you guys with the UD7 notice any issues with slow LAN speeds? Have a couple of users over at TT notice they will get slower then 100mb when nic is set to gigabit or auto. When users set to 100mb they get 100mb.
