    My 2nd Year 3D Animation :D

    Hey guys!

This is my 2nd year final work. I study 3D animation at TheAnimationSchool.

We had 2 months to come up with a story, concept art, build everything, rig, animate etc etc. so everything from scratch.

Remember it's only student work so don't expect pixar :P

    Cool!

pretty neat but isnt your main character boarderline plagiarism ?

i mean lets be honest that character is a direct rendition of a videogame character, only yours is taller.

i am not trying to be a i am being honest, but i am also honest when i say nice job, its pretty nice man.

whats your rendering machine spec's ?

    its only student work lol.

calling it close to plagiarism is a bit harsh. i mean "Vivi" has been my nickname for years. the character is my hero, im not making a feature film with it.

i constructed the entire body from scratch, only later decided to add the vivi-like mage hat and face. So the intent was for it to look like an older Vivi.

Thanks for the comment tho appreciate it.

    system used was 2600k , 12gb mem, gtx 580,

but i used a renderer called Furryball, which uses my GPU instead of CPU. so the full HD renders were around 15 - 30 sec.

I am no expert by any means on this subject but I had a couple years of experience with 3d work back in 1995. I really enjoyed your video, reminded me of those days, only difference is that you are much more talented then I ever was
