Dunno why. Am I missing something? Is there a driver? Can't get it to run @ 3300 either. Doesn't matter what settings I use in BIOS or Windows.

Msconfig->boot->advanced options->check set number of CPUs-> select 6 from drop down list.
Reboot.

Thanks informal. Just figured that out. Forgot I had it set to 4 cores. Still can't get C&Q to stop controlling the speed though. What makes it run at a steady 3300mhz? Setting power options has no effect and all BIOS settings are disabled for C6 state and C&Q and all that crap.
Power scheme setting? Max. processor speed 100%?
Don't have that in power options! Was one of the first thing I looked at. I wouldn't have posted a thread on XS if I hadn't already looked there, but thanks anyway!
I think BD is real F'd up...... Or maybe just a BIOS issue. C&Q doesn't stop working and Turbo core stays enabled no matter what setting you touch. The AOD trick works but only for an hour or so. Really irritating that we have new AMD processors that don't work correctly with other hardware or software and no one seems to be doing anything about it. AMD included!
BIOS maybe? If so is there a Gigabyte guy here in the crowd that has any reports of Gigabyte releasing a BIOS for the 990FX boards that allow things to work correctly with each other. Not to worried about the vdroop issue. I know that can't be fixed without a new revision board, but what about C&Q and CPB? Or are we just screwed?
Yup, im waiting for turbo disable and cnq disable .. come on gigabyte give us some fun stuff already.
