    Good Overclocking Utility

I am having trouble finding a good overclocking and fan control utility for my Asus 6850 graphics card. Ati tool seems to have not kept up and tray tools won't install. It tells me I have to install under administrative rights which I do but it doesn't help, it won't work at all. The Asus program that came with the card would be ok but it loads at start up and you can't disable this. I don't want it running all the time. Is there anything else out there that will work well for this card?

    Thanks

i have a 6970 non-ref visiontek board. do i need to flash it to use afterburner? i permanently flashed my 5850 with atibios? can I do the same with the 6970? it seems worth to overclock for a ~15% gain.

Does not hurt to try msi afterburner and see if it works. You may have to enable UNOFFICIAL overclocking mode.

Are you still using TriXX? Can you change your voltage notch by notch? I mean 1.175v to 1.176v?
