Any good 2x4gb kits? (want to hit 2100-2200mhz)

On a p55 board, so unfortunately can't really take advantage of leaky volt-hungry beasts

Are the new Dominator kits any good? The stock settings seem very lackluster for what you're paying (1600mhz 9-9-9 1.65v for $140? really?)... welp, I was mostly interested in them for the heatspreaders - once I'm done with them I can just take those off and throw them on some other ram to make it compatible with the EK ram waterblock . But if they suck,... then there's no way i'm paying that much.

Anyway, I'd like to not go over $120. Halp meh, O Xtreme Ones!

Dom heatsinks are epoxied to ICs, taking them off would leave a lot to clean up and dead ram.

Unless you are doing heavy multitasking/rendering I don't see why ANYONE in the desktop market would need more than 8GB. I don't even use my full 4GB everyday. Sure, some games now do take advantage of more and more ram, however almost never more than 6GB or so.

8GB of faster ram will be better than 16GB of slower.

I'll keep my PSC and Hyper for 24/7 and benching respectively for now until I need more in which I'll hunt up an 8GB kit of BFR.

bleh, nobody replied to this thread at all for a while - I ended up getting ADATA XPG 2.0 2000. Also 16 gb is kinda overkill; I was fine with 4gb until Beef3 came out - now I have to kill my browser every time I want to play it; annoying.

Better late than never The F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL are excellent. Depending on your system and ICs used they may of fell just short of 2100MHz (only review I found of the kit had them doing 2050MHz @ 9-9-9 1.6v-1.7v) but for the price they sell for their unbeatable. I just picked this kit up for £33!
