    G.Skill RipjawsX F3-17000CL9D-8GBXM

Got this budget kit recently and took it for a quick spin, rather impressed & excellent bang for the buck

All benchmarks have been done on these 2 setups:

    Asus maximus IV Gene-Z
    Intel 2500K @ air
    MSI HD6970 Lightning
    Lian-Li PCA-04 (mATX)
    Windows 7 x64 (SP1)

    Asus maximus IV Extreme
    Intel 2500K @ SS
    MSI GTX580 Lightning
    Dimastech v2.0 hard
    Windows 7 x64 (SP1)

    Modules:

    Specs:

    SPD:

    Software used:
    • HyperPI 0.99B
    • Superpi mod 1.5
    • Aida64 v2.00.1700
    • Prime95
    • maxxMEM

    24/7 setup @ air:
Little mATX setup with the Asus Gene-Z in a (hot) Lian Li PCA=04 case.....

    Prime95: 1090mhz 9-11-10-28-1T @ 1.65v:

    HyperPi 4x32M: 1105mhz 9-11-10-28-1T @ 1.65v:

    Aida64:

My goal was 1100mhz 9-11-10 @ stock vdimm but unfortunately1 horse down after about 15 minutes:

Again stock vdimm but now with 8-10-9 timings:

    Prime95: 975mhz 8-10-9-28-1T @ 1.65v:

    HyperPi 4x32M: 975mhz 9-11-10-28-1T @ 1.65v:

    Aida64:

    M4E + CPU @ SS phase:
Tested to see how far the kit would go im 1M, 32m and maxxmem with the CPU under my LittleDevel SS cooler. Every degree less helps on this particular IMC

    All ran at 9-11-10-28 @ 1.67 vdimm.

    Superpi 32M: 1130mhz 9-11-10-28-1T @ 1.67v:

    Superpi 1M: 1150mhz 9-11-10-28-1T @ 1.67v:

    Maxxmem: 1150mhz 9-11-10-28-1T @ 1.67v:

    Aida64:

Good one Bart, impressive set of sticks again from the G.Skill company
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

    Just picked up a pair.
    I guess I'll test how low they can go for 2133 @ 1.65v but I'm guessing 9-10-9-27-1T or 9-11-9-27-1T.

XS member Zolkorn got it to go 9-11-10-27-1T 2200 @ 1.65v:

EDIT: Wow, what a tight binning! Best is 9-11-10-28-1T! No wonder the other 9-11-9-28 kit is more than $50 more...

I've also picked up a kit for my rig. They seem to work pretty decent but the tRAS timing is very unusual. I've dropped it down to 10 from 28 and its proven stable with super pi 32m, prime 95 and lots of gaming. What do you guys think? Its running right now at 9-10-10-10 1T 2133MHz.

I just got this modules and the XMP profiles are a bit different from what I see above
    Capture.PNG

Also upon loading the XMP profile, I see that my VDIMM still stays at 1.50, it should automatically go upto 1.660v right ( since my board does not 1.650 only 1.650 and 1.660 )

One of the modules is causing BSOD on my system even at 1333Mhz, no errors what-so-ever with memtest86+ but it shows a lot of errors under HCI memory test and BSOD's with in 5mins. The G.Skill retailer was kind enough to send me an advance replacement though.

Not good, not badmy results are very similar as Viss's results...max valid with 10-12-11-31-2T and 1,75 V was about 2530 MHz

This ties in nicely with a kit of F3-12800CL7D-8GBXM I've almost finished reviewing. I bet you could coax 8-8-8 timings @ 1866MHz out of that F3-17000CL9D-8GBXM kit.
