A small café in Germany has been told that its red apple logo with the face of a child in it is forbidden fruit.

The warning has been fired by U.S. computer giant Apple at a small café in Bonn called Apfelkind.

The café’s owner, Christin Römer, has made a trademark application for her logo, which Apple has demanded she withdraws – but the electronics goliath has a battle on its hands, because Ms Romer is standing firm.

Interesting that this issue has made it into the worldwide media.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. The logos look nothing alike and they are in a completely different market. Except Apple wants to begin selling iCoffees.

I currently own a soon five year old MacBook and it will definitely be the last Apple device I own. I can't and won't support patent trolls. The Ultrabooks look better and better, even though their price is disappointing (on par with Apple's offerings).

actually it is not funny someone needs to tell apple that what they are trying to do is really stupid and in short term this may help their marketing by taking public attraction but at the end this will harm their marketing.
