    PC Restart Time Benchmarking

Not sure if this has been done before but thought it may at least be somewhat interesting for whatever it's worth.

Simply download and run the .vbs file contained within the attached .zip file in the link directly below. It will restart your computer, and pop back up once restarted displaying the time that it took.

    http://www.nrnl.org/download/file.php?id=283

My results on my personal PC (47 seconds, Core 2 Duo E8400, 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB cache bootdrive) -

and the results of my housemate's PC that I built for her (30 seconds, i7 2600K, 240GB OCZ Vertex 2 SSD bootdrive) -

No fancy stuff either, as you can see from screenshots, all visuals and numerous start up programs as per usual machine operation all enabled.

I remember back in the day when I had as basic as a mobo as could be how much of a lack of BIOS posting there was when starting up. There was also this Toshiba laptop I got for a friend last year that pretty much as soon as you pressed the power button and the screen turned on (proper cold boot not hibernate) there was the Windows Logo loading screen. BTW Niiiice time @ mattkosem
